I was thrilled to find a fashionable sandal in extra wide. Really liked the looks of this shoe. However, although the foot bed of the shoe is indeed extra wide, the strap is not. I couldn't even get the two ends to meet over my instep, let alone fasten it properly. I had to send them back. I always have good luck with SoftWalk shoes, this one, however, didn't meet the mark.
