Plum is not a flavor I would have grabbed off the shelf before classic strawberry or grape! It is now one of my favorite flavors! It is so yummy on biscuits and bagels! Worth buying again and again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Smucker's Red Plum Jam for free in exchange to my honest review. I was excited to try this jam out because I've never tried any Plum Jam before. However, this jam is not my choice, it taste a little tart at the end of taste.

I wish there was pike have been a bit more plum flavor to it I still would buy again and definitely use it for some thumbprint cookies I think the cookies would help carry the flavors a little more
One would think that a company like Smuckers which advertises over a hundred years of business, would know the difference between jam and jelly. Jelly contains just the juices of the fruit. Jam contains pieces of fruit. I was so excited when I ran across it since my mom and grandma used to make plum jam from plums we picked from the plum trees growing in the tree strip on our farm. That jam contained the plums after the pits were removed. It was nice and thick and delicious. I was very disappointed to find Smucker's jam was plain ole jelly. Evidently in processing it, they boiled the plums with sugar and pectin then strained off the best part when they threw the plums away, leaving us with a mouth full of sugar and no flavor of plums. Jam is like orange marmalade which has pieces of orange rind in it. I wish they really would make plum jam. Strawberry jam is made, so why not plum jam? I will not be buying any more of their "jam."
