I needed this for my index cards for home and office organization.. I purchased 2 of these boxes. They hold up to 1100 cards but I have 1000 cards and my dividers in each of these boxes and I love it.. These boxes hold up way more than I expected.. The snap and set up feature was so convenient, I assembled the 2 boxes in less than 5 minuets.. I like that it does not take up a lot of space as my office box sits on my desk for easy access..
You can't find these anywhere. Thank goodness Walmart has them. I searched everywhere - office stores, etc. and couldn't find them. These are great for organizing flash cards for study.
I needed a storage box to store 3 x 5 index cards that I use for trivia games for seniors. During the past 5 years I had collected a lot of cards and had kept them in a plastic bag. This is so much neater. The only thing I need to make it better is divider cards that I can write on for classification. This box holds a lot of cards. I must have at least 400 that I filed in this sturdy little box. The metal end tabs make it neat and sturdy. The box snaps together with 2 snaps on each side on each end for a total of 8 snaps. The one end has a card slot so you can label the contents of the box especially if you use several boxes.
Love it. It just snaps together in a minute, no big instructions (which I hate) and so sturdy. wished it had deviders but no biggie.
I bought this box along with the file box of the same style. Both boxes look nice on our bookcase and actually store quiet a bit. I got this smaller box (5x8) to hold all my photos that haven't made it into photo albums yet. It seems like a very strong, sturdy box and doesn't have any trouble holding a ton of photos (500 or so). I am actually going to buy another one to hold little odds and ends that just sit on our desk at home to make things look tidier.
My daughter uses it for her Spanish Study course were she makes cards of the English word and Spanish word. She uses the cards for memory study.
Picture showed alphabetic cards, but there were none in the package. If not included don't show in picture or put in remarks "cards not included". Misleading advertising! But I guess what do you expect for such a great price as $5.97! Also dimensions were not included. I went by how thick 100 cards were and one review said held 1000 cards. It is about 8 inches long.
I bought six 5x8 of these file boxes. 5 of them held one full bin of photographs in a much neater and organized manner and those 5 boxes take up less room than the bin.
I needed something to store pc video games/software discs in their original packages-this size is PERFECT! File the cases horizontally with spine up in file box-I have filed up to 16 (depends on the thickness of each case) per 5X8 box. Also, with them in the box, can turn the box up on it's long side for displaying the titles of each case (comes in handy on a bookcase or media closet shelf.
I didnt receive the dividers. They are pictured in the ad.
