My husband and I just used it for the first time this past week when we went to Tennessee. It tells you when you get with in go many feet of a turn that you are suppose to make. It lets you know how long it will take to somewhere. Ex. it showed how long it would take to get from where we were in Tn. to our house in NC. and it showed the estimated time of arrival at our house.

The product is excellent and definetly worth the money. The touch screen combined with the ease of inputing directions makes this GPS a keeper. It's a great deal for the price. The bluetooth capability allows you to talk on the phone hands free. I would recommend it to the anyone. I look forward to future upgrades...

I got this for my husband for christmas and he loves it. And I admit I get lost alot. I get turned around real easily and I just use the nextar to help me get back on track. And I love that I can hook my phone up to it through bluetooth and just speak through it. Thats a plus.

Purchased recently after reviewing many competitors products and found this one to be a better value with features found on more expensive models, Besides all the features stated, it recalculates the route when direction not followed. The Bluetooth connectivity to cell phone is also a very useful feature for hands-free use of cellphone. Navteq on board was a great selling point with maps of Canada & USA. Came with more accessories for charging from mobile, home and computer as well as portable pouch for use while out of the car. Works well and rich in features and capabilities. Automatically switches from daylight to night mode and vice versa. Would definately recommend highly.

For the money, the options are great. You spend a lot more money for these options on another unit. Very easy to use and navigate. I found that the POI could use a update as two resturates in my city are closed down with new business in their place. I tried to update at Nextar web sight but they said no new updates are avaiable at this time. The only complaint I have is the speaker volume. It's not really loud enought as compared to other units that I have used in the passed. You need to have the windows up to hear or you could hook up a headset.

I initially bought a Mio C230 at Circuit City but ended up returning it because it inacurrately directed me back home. This one so far has only missed a new road that is not yet on the map; it is very slim and has all the features of much more expensive GPS. Support at their website is not all that great when looking into upgrading maps.

Needed!

Tried several GPS units and have an old Garmin. It never worked correctly and was so super slow that it was rendered useless. Bought the TomTom and it works ok. Tried this unit because I needed it now and all the others were sold out. I found the price of interest and with the features it has thought there must be something wrong with it! Well, it works just fine. It doesn't have WAAS, but at the speed that it 'recovers' and the signal strength, WAAS is not neccesary. The units mount leaves something to be desired, however I see people writing other reviews and they like to mount the thing at the lower part of the dashboard where it meets the window and I like to mount it just to the side of the rear view mirror. Mounting it by the mirror keeps the road in view, does not block my road view and is easy to see while driving. The only draw back was the length of the mount when installed at my pref. it stuck way out. I bought a smaller mount. The signal is so good that I can just put it on the pass. seat and it tells me what turn to make. In all sense, The distraction of looking at the unit is not needed. It tells you what turn to make, therefore the mount is not needed. It comes with evrything that all the other units (manufactureres) sell sep. A/C adapt, pouch, etc. Real nice unit. OH! In the program you have FAR more choices than with most of the others as well. Like, "use major highways when possible". The others take you right through the city and that is NOT the shortest, fastest, or correct way to go. This unit does real well and I would like to buy another one unfortunately they sold out of this one too. :) Here's the real story... The PRICE! Any other brand with the same features is between $600-$1000 WAL*Mart had this one for under $200 at Christmas time. The unit is user friendly and check out the other units...to change the volume (on the others) it requires several clicks, and if you accidently click the wrong thing! back and forth, THIS unit... on screen ONE click and the voice is off. Other units... type in the address and hope you have some little tiny fingers.... This unit comes with a stylus that neetly slides into the the side of the unit. SWEET! Try it.

i thought this product was going to be excellent for me since i have no sence of direction. i like it because it tells me turn by turn and the street name. but if it has to reroute its self it takes forever. nor does it know the exit by my house very well ..... it tells me to take a right when i have to take a left...... if i take a right i will run off a brigde and i dont want that to happen....... lol lol .... but overall i guess i got what i paid for

I thought this product was going to be great, navigation, bluetooth, jpeg viewer, and mp3 player. The points of interest for my area were non existent. The card reader for the jpegs and mp3 worked the first time I used it and then would not read my card anymore. The bluetooth was clear once you figured out how to mate it with your phone (the manual lacks detail) The manufacture said they would repair/replace it if I paid to ship it back to them. After paying shipping to get it and it working for about 4 hours, I told them they could take it back and I bought a TomTom One 3rd edition and it works great.
