In all honesty, I love the scent of these scent packets. It's not strong or overpowering. It does have a hint of a floral scent to it. My towels and bedding smelled amazing after being washed. The laundry is also really soft. The only issue that I had with this product that is when I did a cold water wash, the plastic wrapping did not dissolve completely. I would recommend cutting open the scent packet and pouring the contents into your laundry or placing it in the fabric softener if you have a front loading washing machine and want to use cold water to wash your clothing. In hot and warm water, I did not have any issues with the plastic wrapper dissolving. I tend to make my own laundry crystals at times. I added a scent packet to my laundry crystal mixture instead of using essence oils and the results were still the same as if I had used the essence oil to begin with. If you combine these Snuggle scent packets with fabric softener (any kind) and snuggle dryer sheets, you entire laundry will smell even better. My bedding and pajamas still have the Wild Orchid scent after a night of sleeping. I will agree, the scent is long lasting.
I have used it when I have done laundry, it makes the clothes smell good. Has a very faint scent if you only use one pod for a large load. If you use two pods for a large load it has a nice smell to the laundry. Even after drying in the dryer, it smells good. It work with all loads of laundry. I like it because, all I have to do is put it in the washer before I put in the clothes. It works in all kinds of washers even the front loaders, including (he) washers. It comes in other scents. Son and husband like the smell of their clothes. It makes doing laundry a pleasure. You have to use one pod for regular loads and two pods for large loads. All of the laundry that I have done and used these scent boosters have come out smelling good. If you want cats to stay off, they will when you wash with this in with your laundry. Some cats like the scent, while others do not.
Now these, I like very much. They have a great scent all of their own, & boost the laundry detergent's scent with out mixing with it negatively, or over powering it greatly. Certainly it can depend on the scent that you are using. I like that the package was actually easy to open, & didn't tear open like so many packages like this can. The resealing strip in this, actually works. This way you aren't filling the laundry room with great smells for a day or two & nothing more. The scent is fresh, & bold. Bold enough that in washing the dog bedding, everything smelled like wild orchids & the lavender laundry soap. A very nice mix of the two scents, that's for sure. Easy to toss in little packets, & the 'shell' dissolves like it should. I have seen others which don't do that so well. One other thing to note, is that this is a powder, not a liquid. So if you can't use powder in your machine or septic, you may want to look for the liquid kind (if they make it). One of the benefits of being a powder packet, is that there isn't any liquid to leak out; making a large mess of a few packets. I put a four on durability, because they are supposed to dissolve, but yet they are made well enough not to break apart in the package. I did drop one on the floor to see if it would burst open, it did not. Additionally, the scent doesn't dissipate quickly like so many other ones do. It stays in place, which is very nice.
This Snuggle scent boosters package is 18.4 oz and includes 26 concentrated scent pacs. Though it states on the package that 26 pacs will last you for 26 loads, you can actually decide for yourself on how many pacs per load you would like to use! If you would like for you laundry to have just a mild scent to it, then just one pac will be definitely enough for you, I on the other hand like for my clothes to have a stronger fresh scent to it, so I actually did use two of the pacs for my large load of laundry, and I actually was very surprised by how refreshing and delicious the smell is! The product is supposed to deliver a long lasting scent to your clothes and it definitely does what it promised to do! After I did a load and put it in the dryer i wore a pair of pants and a T-shirt from that load the whole day long, considering that it is very hot outside - 87 F, at the end of the day after I took my clothes off it still had a very fresh scent to it, it actually made me smell like as if I had a perfume on though I didn't! I love the fact that it refreshes all of my laundry and it lasts for a while, the scent just does not disappear in the next couple of hours. The actual concentrated pacs are not liquid, they are filled with concentrated powder, and I absolutely love and appreciate the fact that this product does not make any greasy stains on my clothes. Previously I bought and used some products that in fact would have greasy feel to them and after taking my load out of the washer some of the pieces would have greasy stains which obviously did not make me neither happy or satisfied even though my clothes would have a great smell to them the stains was not an option for me! I guess when the product would get in contact with water and material, while waiting for the washer to fill up in the meantime it would stain my clothes, thankfully I did not have such a problem with Snuggles scent boosters!!! And I love that! This product is also safe for any type of the washing machine and so easy to use, just drop the amount of the pacs that you would like to use on the bottom of the drum of the washing machine, add detergent, put in a load of laundry and at the end of the wash simply enjoy a refreshing well scented clothes! I even used couple of pacs while washing my dog's bed and it did the trick for sure, it came out smelling great! Though it states on the package that this product had got a wild orchid scent to it, I also get a hint of vanilla in it, which makes it smell even better! I LOVE these little pacs, great product! For the fraction of the cost you get convenience of prepacked product which you do not have to measure anymore, just decide on how many pacs to use according to how strong you want the scent to be, and easily drop them in the washer. Snuggle scent boosters has got an amazing delicious sweet almost perfume like scent and without a doubt lasts a long time just like it promises to do, can be used in any type of machine and simply is a great alternative to any other product out there on the market! Try it out and you will be genuinely surprised by how well these little scent pacs work!
I received my sample of Snuggle Scent Boosters Wild Orchid Wonder Concentrated Scent Pacs, 26 count, 18.3 oz, and right away liked the packaging! Easy to open and pop one in the washer. Then load your clothes and add detergent. Regular loads uses 1 and bigger loads require 2 or more. So eager to try it, so I used one today! It dissolves in the washer in any water temperature! What a neat idea! No worrying about adding softener at the end of the wash cycle, like I always forget to do! Also, dryer sheets can over time leave a film on your dryer, etc. These Scent boosters are great! They do not leave a heavy scent like a lot of fabric softeners do. My clothes came out with a nice subtle fresh scent. These boosters do it all, they freshen, soften, and prevent static cling all in on little pac! Really like these and will be purchasing some more on my next trip to Walmart!
I Really Like The Smell Of These Snuggle Scent Boosters. I Tried Them 2 Different Times & Got 2 Results. 1. I Ran A Normal Wash Of Whites & Dried Them In The Dryer. 2. Ran A Darks/Color Load & Hung Out To Dry. The Whites/Dryer Load Had The Light Scent Of The Boosters When Finished. The Air Dried Dark/Colors Load Had A Stronger Scent From The Boosters. I Would Like To Try The Other Scents Snuggle Has Made " )
I usually use another brand of fabric softener. I have never tried pods. I found that having one less liquid to pour in a dispenser is GREAT! I have never tried snuggle either. I was pleasantly surprised to find the Snuggle Scent Boosters Wild Orchid Wonder Concentrated Scent impressive. Since I have a larger washer I did use 2 pods. For me one pod was not enough. The scent is so good I would definitely buy this product. My entire family enjoys the scent. These Snuggle scent boosters, I would recommend them to family and friends. It so convenient to just throw the pods in the washer put the clothes in and close the door. After drying the clothes the scent is still there. LOVE it when my blankets and sheets and towels have a great scent to them, and this fragrance is fresh and clean and PERFECT! I've had no issues with the pods not disolving and staining for ruining and of my laundry. I do find it pricey though since I use 2 in each wash load.
I was so excited to try the "wild orchid wonder" scented Snuggle scent boosters in my laundry. You can smell the scent through the bag and through the packets as you put them in your machine. When the washing cycle ended, the packet was completely dissolved and the wet clothes smelled absolutely wonderful, but once they went through the dryer-the smell was mostly gone. This product seemed to be like a teaser that let you know what your laundry could smell like if you also buy the same scent in the fabric softener and dryer sheets. I did test it out on a bathing suit that only went through the washer and then hung to dry, which did produce better results. However, when I went to see if the scent was still on the suit after putting in a drawer overnight-the smell was gone. On the plus side, the packets are easy to use, safe for all washers, and can be used on all types of clothing. For me personally, I feel a better use for them might be to put a few in a netted pouch and make drawer and closet sachets out of them. That would probably be the best way to get the smell to last near your clothes, towels, and linens.
I have never used scent boosters before and thought that I would like to give Snuggle Scent Boosters Wild Orchid Wonder Concentrated Scent Pacs a try. I do use Snuggle Fabric Softener sheets from time to time and like the brand overall. When you open the package you see the scent pacs; they are little pink pouches about an inch in diameter and about ½ an inch thick. These scent pacs are powder encased in a clear pouch that dissolves completely in the wash so there is nothing to pick out of the laundry. These scent pacs are simple to use; drop one into the washing machine, add the laundry, laundry soap and then water. When the laundry was done I put it in the dryer with a fabric softer sheet as I always do since these scent pacs are just for smell not for static control or softening of the clothes. They worked really well when I used them for a load of smelly towels that had been damp and got a bit sour smelling; I put 2 pacs in the wash and it really cut the smell. Overall I do not think that I will continue to use this product; using a fresh detergent and dryer sheets seems to work as well or better than throwing one of these pacs in the wash. I would still have to use dryer sheets and they make the clothes smell fresh enough.
My reason for NOT recommending this product is because, unless I washed my clothes in a normal setting (ie, 59 minutes) on a warm wash and then hung dry my clothes, the scent could barely be detected in the other washes. The only items that retained the scent for a longer period of time were those made of synthetic materials and hung to dry (not dried in a dryer). The following is my initial test results. Please note that I have continued to use these boosters, sometimes four at a time, with the same sub-standard results. Also note that the fragrance is synthetic. My trial tests were performed in an HE (High Efficiency) front load washer: WASH #1 Sanitary Wash setting (high water temp approx. 200 degrees) on a two hour wash cycle: Because this product has an ingredient that produces synergistic effects when compounded with traditional flame retardants, it was safe to wash my work uniform: two pair of Nomex flame retardant coveralls and jacket, with these Scent Boosters. Just like flame retardant baby clothing, it is important to understand the ingredients in laundry soaps, boosters, fabric softeners and dryer sheets before using them to prevent jeopardizing the safety feature built in to these fabrics. I used one Scent Booster for two pairs of Nomex coveralls and one Nomex jacket. RESULT: After washing my two pair of coveralls and one jacket, there were a couple of sticky spots on just one pair (see my photo). I placed the spot area under the faucet, ran cold water over it, and it instantly came out. I also hung my work clothes to dry so that the smell would not be tainted by any dryer sheets. The jacket had a very nice smell and the coveralls had a faint smell, nothing more than I would get from perfumed laundry detergent. There was no residual from the Booster left in the washing machine. However, I am still concerned that, after a two hour high temperature wash, there were spots from the Snuggles Scent Booster left on my clothing. WASH #2 Standard 59 minute warm wash: one cotton and one polyester dark capris, a dark cotton hoodie, one cotton welder's cap, and one dark undergarment. RESULT: No sticky spots found on clothing and no residual found in washing machine. All hung to dry. Only the polyester capris retained the smell after a couple of days; the other clothing did not.
