Compact size makes it discreet, but it produces a bright light. Easy to adjust the length of time on and when it begins to function. It has great motion detection when approaching it from the sides. The only negative l've found it doesn't seem to recognize motion when walking straight toward the light. Any step to the side will activate the sensor and light.
