I was introduced to this product as child, now having my own family i buy at least one bottle every summer. Solarcaine is a LIFE SAVER! I have a husband, and younger child, and myself that use this product every year. I usally dont use more than one bottle, some years we need two. A little goes a long way. Its way better than banana boat products in my opinion. I will continue to recommend and purchase this items. Also, i should add, it helps with the itchy skin related to your skin healing/peeling after the sun exposer!!
Solarcaine is not just for sunburn! It's also extremely effective for any type of insect bite. It contains lydocaine, which is a skin anesthetic. For me at least, it beats all of the other remedies on the market. Where I live, no-see-ems, fire ants, chiggers and mosquitoes are rampant, and nothing stops the itch like Solarcaine.
Bought this to use on my back. I have a burning itch (no rash) so thought I'd try it since all other itch remedy's haven't worked. It has helped immensely and the burn is gone at least for awhile. It can be applied several times a day. As it's a gel, it goes on smooth and has a slight clean odor. I think the aloe has helped with the burn. I'd recommend it. I don't have sunburn but I believe the itch is from a medication allergy.
Love this stuff, really works. Why companies discontinue stuff that works, beats me. I got 2 bottles so they will last me a good while, also called company and told them they are not smart to discontinue a item that works.
After going on vacation with my grandparents I was definitely in need of some relief for my burnt skin. My mom went straight out to the closest Walmart around are area, and came back with a little bottle of Solarcaine. I was definitely thinking this isn't gonna work, she wasted six bucks on nothing. But boy was I WRONG! As soon as the substance laid on my sensitive burnt skin , it soothed the burn and made it to where I finally felt comfortable in my own skin again. It was such a relief and definitely worth the six bucks! My sister and I both only need it use it about 2-3 times each (once a day) and the bottle still looked as though it was full! Not only did it soothed my sunburn away it moisturized my skin as well, which resulted into less pealing ! Definitely would recommend this product and use again!
I have been using this product for many years on small burns, sunburns, itching, bug bites, etc. The relief it provides is better than anything I've ever tried. Can't say it enough about it and have recommend it to family and friends for years. It is time for a restock.
I have used this product for as long as it has been available. I bought it the first time because my family is very fair (red haired fair) and a little sun goes along way. Even with sunscreen we all get too much sun during the Texas summers. This product helps with the minor sunburns to soothe and soften the over exposed shin. I also use it in the kitchen for minor burns and cuts, which I have a lot. (I am a clutz in the kitchen and I can't grow an aloe plant to save my soul). My granddaughters will use this on minor cuts and burns when they refuse everything else.
I experience sunburn about two years ago for the first time in my life and it hurt terrible. My Dad told me to buy this product and he applied it to my face, instantly the burning stopped and my face felt cool. The pain went from a 10 to a 1, it worked fast. I bunt my skin yesterday and I forgot all about this product until I looked up products for burns. I went to Walmart and brought it and when I got home I applied it to my skin and the burn marks disappeared, you would never be able to tell I burnt myself. I love this product! It always works great on your skin after you nair or use Veet to cool it down.
Much better than straight aloe vera gel, because in addition to its medicinal properties, Solarcaine Aloe Vera is immediately cooling and soothing. Walmart's online ordering service can't be beat. I got the package delivered to my door in two days, and the cost was very reasonable.
