This fan puts out a lot of air to be a 10". I am completely satisfied with it's quiteness and I love the controls on the front side. I also saved money buying online from Walmart with the 97 cent shipping.
I was really suprised at how low of a noise level this fan really had. I read the reviews and thought its just talk. Not only does the Fan run smooth, its quiet!..Really. I sleep with it on and it never wakes me up. This is a great buy at a great price. You wont be disappointed.
I spent a few days reading product reviews before making my purchase. We have been though several fans in our bedroom and all have been way too noisy to sleep with. I purchased this fan nearly 2 weeks ago and we have used it everyday since. It is quiet at all three levels. Even at the highest level it is comfortable. We're in a 12x 12 room, and it's been great at keeping us both cool and happy throughout the night!
I have a back room that has no ventilation and a few years ago I got the idea to mount a fan in the corner near the ceiling to circulate the air especially in winter. The previous fan just quit working after maybe 2 years and I was glad it broke because it had a very bad motor that caused electrical noise and interference on the circuit it was on. This fan is very quiet and easy to mount with all included hardware though I did have to make a template for the screws. It's running right now and if it ever quits I would look for the same brand again. I like the fake oscillation where the whole fan face is not actually shifting back and forth you can really get this in a tight corner and forget it. It looks very expensive too. Looks nicer than in the pics.
Have been using this fan for over a month now. It is a great little fan. Puts out a lot of air, doing it very quietly. I've never seen an oscillating fan that didn't actually move. The outside grill turns, which moves the air every bit, if not better, than a fan that sweeps back and forth. I highly recommend this fan.
I like to hang my clothes in the laundry room with a fan running on them before I fluff dry. So many times I have forgotten to turn it off they burn out.Not smart. This fan has a timer. It's just what I needed. We have bought 2 so far and it's the best fan I ever had for the money. Buy one. You won't be sorry.
Bought this fan to use in my bedroom as I like air blowing on me and my husband does not. I have it on a bedside table and it works great. Very quiet, and the air does change direction (oscillation) without the fan body actually moving, which is great for using in restricted spaces. The only reason I did not give this a 5 was because I contemplated mounting it on the wall, but the fan only works if it is mounted with the right leg above the left. If it is mounted with the legs horizontal to each other or the left over the right the fan shuts off. This may sound complicated, but it effects where the fan can be placed in relation to where you want the breeze to blow. Where my bed is on the left side of my room, there is no way to aim the breeze in the direction I want it. so I keep it on a table.
Oscillating: present participle of os·cil·late (Verb) Move or swing back and forth at a regular speed: "a pendulum oscillates about its lowest point". ((Source: Google search)) This does not oscillate. This does not blow wind back and forth. The wind current is great, though! And it is not an option: the fan runs for two hours and then shuts off. It won't stay on longer, even if you want it to. Ironically, I was looking for a louder fan... We need the white noise to sleep peacefully. I do plan to use it in the summer though! To summarize for the average person: Pros: Strong air current, quiet, turns off automatically (for the energy conscience) Cons: Does not oscillate, turns off after 2 hours no choice
I read the reviews on this and decided to trust the good reviews. This would be fine for a low-noise desk or bedside table fan. I bought it to mount on my daughter's kitchen wall to bring in some of the AC from the living room. The high setting seems to be no more than a low setting in my opinion. I'm going to return it and look at the products on the shelves rather than take the chance to order a different brand.
We purchased an identical Soleus table fan from a competitor store about 4 years ago. We were impressed with the quality and quietness of the fan, so we purchased a second fan from Walmart 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the fan we received from Walmart was very poorly made. The blades wobbled and made an annoying noise and the timer (which must be turned on to make the fan work) made a constant ticking noise. Not impressed anymore.
