I actually purchased the last one that was on the shelf at Costco. When we open the box at home, we noticed that there was some damage to the exterior of the stove. I took a couple photos and sent it immediately to the customer service at Solo Stove. They made it super easy and within two days we had a new one delivered to our front doorstep. It really makes such a fun family experience. Even my kids got very creative with their choice of toppings. We have used it several times now and could not be happier.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure about other units, but learning curve on this gas fueled version is very small. By the second pizza we were rocking it! Full heat time to a 600-700 degree stone is about 20 mins for mine, which gives plenty of time to prep dough/ingredients/etc. Light and easily portable. For the price point, this guy is a no brainer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received the Pi Prime for Christmas (the dog gives the best presents!) Our first try was definitely trial and error. I didn't have any of the accessories yet, so launching was interesting and messy! I finally have all the tools and my first pizzas of the summer were quite good. Still room for growth. I now have decided what temp I like and how to do my launch better. Now comes the fun with different doughs and toppings. I make sourdough and I love using my starter sometimes for a tangy pizza dough. Here's to summer and pizza!
You will never order pizza out again! Great for entertaining, family nights, or just trying a new recipe. My wife roller her eyes when it showed up on the front steps! Now she looks forward to pizza nights with the family and friends. Its the gift that keeps on giving.

The stove, like all Solo products, is lovely and well designed. The stove lights up as well as any propane grill I've used. I haven't seen it get much beyond 700 degrees using my infra thermometer, and definitely not 900, even though I often let it preheat on high for over 30 minutes. That said, it will absolutely cook a pizza in 90 seconds. I recommend getting the pizza turner because doing it with a regular pizza skid won't be possible. You need a smaller surface to rotate it around in there. Every pizza I've made has been very good tasting so no complaints overall. But… my gripe, and the reason I'm only giving 3 stars, is I cannot get that charred wood fired crust effect at all. I've tried different doughs, minimal toppings and moisture, turning down the heat to let it sit in the stove longer, but ultimately every pizza is a bit “doughier” than anybody expects or wants. With the heat up at the recommended range it cooks so fast you have to remove it before the cheese blackens. But even turning the heat down after the stone is hot, I struggle to get the classic crispy crust. It's disappointing, given the price.
