I got this in a package deal with another one and this one has surpassed the other by a mile. My son loves it and I was even playing it last night. It is a good, fast game that does not make them sit, sit, sit all day. It gives short screen play times and then up and moving. I like it and so does he.
(Sonic And The Secret Rings Gamecube) This is Sonic's first game on the Wii and it is awesome. You are on a quest to help a genie named Shara to collect the seven World rings and defeat the Evil genie named Erazor Djinn. There are many worlds and levels to go through. Some of the levels are called Sand Oasis, Dino Jungle, Evil Foundry and Levitated Ruin and much more. Each world has a boss you must defeat. I like the way the story was done in this game. You go into the book of the Arabian Nights and that is where the quest begins. Knuckles, Tails and Eggman are in Adventure Mode. They take on different roles in this game. Eggman is a King. That is a example. The levels are long but very fun. The music is fun to listen to. There are different modes in this game and they are, Adventure, Party and more. Adventure is where you go through the story. Party Mode is where you can play very fun Mini-games. In Party Mode you can play at different areas such as Treasure Hunt, World Bazzar. In Treasure Hunt you play Mini-games and each character goes a certain amount of spaces depending how the character placed in the Mini-game. At the beginning of Treasure Hunt a treasure is shown and you have to find that treasure. When you move and you are by a Treasure Chest you can decide if you want to open it or not. In World Bazaar you play Mini-games and the character gets certain amount of money depending on how the character placed. Then you bid on rugs. You can decide if you want to or not. World Bazaar is unlocked collecting a certain amount of Fire Souls. Fire Souls are in quite a few levels. As you get more Fire Souls things such as characters and Mini-games for Party Mode will be unlocked. Getting the Fire Souls are worth it. If you like Sonic games then this is a great game to buy.
Our whole family loves this game. Each moment you are doing something different. Even the youngest (5 yrs old) enjoys playing.
I haven't had enough time to play the game/mission section. We have played the family games which can be very fun with one to four players battling the multiple games that are offered. I believe they have 40 party games on this one disk. There are 100 missions and I have only played one so hours of fun still available.
This is a one player story mode game with optional 4 player mini game mode. It is age appropriate for all of my 4 children (ages 7-17) not overly difficult, but they will not conquer it and be done in an hour either. Overall a fun game, good... but not great.
He says, 'challenging and fun' ~ he says 'very much recommended' .. I've only watched my boys play this one .. made me dizzy but I laughed the whole time ... great colors and graphics .. it's nice when I can sit and enjoy watching the boys play .. I would recommend it .. from a beginners point of view I am not sure if I could enjoy playing this one right now .. it's fast moving and you have to be quick on the movements .. perhaps after a few more months of practice I will give it a try .. great investment as far as Iam concerned.
Sonic has cute games. Single player mode leaves out others, but is interesting enough to maintain attention of younger siblings. Party mode has multiplayer events, but is a bit slow on moving through the games and events. Overall good program, but multiplayer could be better.
My family enjoys playing the game. My four year old daughter even plays the game. My son and I, can play for hours. When I ask my son to play the WII, he's like, Sonic and the secret rings, right? He knows I like it. The game is sort of like the Mario Party games. So if you like those games, you will like Sonic and the secret rings.
We bought this game after reading reviews. You need to read story before playing Adventure games. My daughter (8y) and Son (5y) liked 5 sections in 12-15 games in the Party game. There are 100 missions (levels) in Adventures game. Both of them were confused, after crossing 4th mission. On the back of the box, it says 4-players. What they did not like is to add a 3rd remote, it is not possible; meaning only 1 or 2 players can play. Party game has been liked by everyone. My children feel that value is 1/2 of what you pay for.
This game was not designed well for the Wii. The controlls are NOT intuitive, you don't get the full use out of the Wii remote, and you have to shake your wrist forwards and side-to-side to defeat mobs over and over again. It's very linear...meaning you cannot deviate from the set 'race-track.' It's not nearly as fun as the original Sonic games, and I stopped playing it after the first day. I tried to get 2 children to play it, and they get frustrated with it, too! This is NOTTTTTT a good purchase for $30.00 bucks. Wait for it to be on the 'cheap' aisle if you feel like wasting your money.
