I added a 48" LG OLED to my gaming setup and decided I wanted a Sonos Beam for my audio. I bought the Beam during the holidays on sale and decided the instant I set it up I'd build a surround setup. Well, fast forward a couple of months and my wife wants an Arc for the living room. While they were on sale for the Super Bowl we decided to get the Arc and a Sub to go with it. I haven't set the Arc up yet, but I did decide to use the Sub with the Beam. I bought two One SLs (used) for the rears. The room I'm in is a medium to large size bedroom. The Beam and One SLs are perfect for this size room. The Sub is a bit overkill. Having said that, I plan to get the Sub Mini when I take the Sub to the living room. I had to go through setting it up twice to get it to recognize everything. I already had the Beam and SLs paired. When I went to connect the Sub it couldn't find my existing system. It saw the room, but didn't see the equipment. No worries. I reset the Sub and tried again and it worked flawlessly. Had it worked the first time I'd have had it fully connected in less than 10 minutes. I currently have it set up under my desk and it is probably the best sub I've ever had. We currently have a Nakamichi 7.2.2 surround system in the living room and the single Sonos Sub delivers the low ends with more feeling and clarity than the two with the Nakamichi system. I really love the sound and can't wait to hook it up to the Arc and probably two Era 300s. Once I hook up the Arc I'll add how the Sub sounds to that review. Overall, I'm very happy with all the products I've gotten from Sonos. I expected it to sound great and fill this moderately sized area with great sound. It hasn't disappointed me. The first thing I did after setting up Trueplay was to search for a list of must watch scenes to see how the system sounded. "6 Underground" blew me away with the sound and feel of the boat magnet scene. It really shows the capability of the Sub. I realize Sonos isn't for everyone. For what I wanted and the ease of connecting components as I go, this is the ideal system. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who has the money, and wants to get a premium surround system. I've gotten everything on sale so far. So if you have the patience, you can get it for much less than normal.
I love this sub. It really brings out the arc even more and makes you feel like you're in a movie theater. This is definitely the best-sounding sub on the market today, at least in my opinion. I also love how sleek and handsome it looks. I love the modern design. I will most likely add another one sometime down the line. This sub just makes movies and music come to life. I love the thunderous bass that comes from it and the vibrating sound effects that come from this sub.
I am loving my Sonos Sub Gen 3 so far. I had the Sonos Arc for a year now, but wanted to see what a sub could add to it. I sounds amazing. Music is very rich and beautiful now. If you turn up the volume you can really feel the base and the walls shake a little. Movies and games you can hear the action scenes better and the thuds of the base now. I cannot wait to watch more action movies with my new setup. It feels like you are in a movie theater now. It definitely made a big difference in my sound setup.
I purchased this subwoofer with my Arc soundbar & the combination is amazing. All you'll need is an electrical outlet & a Wi-Fi signal, the app will walk you through the setup step by step. I love the app, I just wish it would give a better explanation of what each option will do. I would purchase it again if needed!
I'd been enjoying my music with 4 Sonos speakers and a sound bar. I didn't realize how much I'd been "slumming it" until this big daddy came home. Good Lord, my house is Disney Hall now! Well, until I pop on some Marianela, at which time my own private Miami nightclub opens! So much fun. So so good!
I love the deep bass and sound of my sub. The soonest I get a other opportunity to get more product's in a special sale or with some discounts I would buy one more sub an others speakers.. I used to always see people installing this speakers in Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez and Montecito areas so I always wanted to get some for myself. Great work
This is what I've been missing in the theater vibe couldn't be more pleased with Sonos', punch, depth and clarity. ❤️
I was taken when I listened to it. I had Klipsch ones, the 12", which was good. But his one I enjoy better. It's low key, elegant and packs a good punch. I enjoy eliminating tons of wires, and there is no lag when I turn the TV or AppleTV on. Do the Trueplay routine when you install or move the speakers and use the app to tune it's output level. You will not be disappointed. I have the Sonos Arc and an LG C377. I am considering adding surrounds as wel.
We have several Sonos systems in our home. All of them include a subwoofer. The GEN 3 subwoofer sounds incredible and is a great addition to any Sonos system. You absolutely know it's present when it's on. However, I don't hear the difference between the GEN 2 and GEN 3. I still have a GEN 2 subwoofer in our great room and it sounds the same. The setup seems easier on the GEN 3 and possibly the WiFi connection is better, I'm not sure, but either way the Sonos subwoofer is an amazing sub. Excellent work Sonos!!
It arrived in poor and loose packaging that allowed the sub to bounce around. Then when I plugged it in, it would only turn on sometimes. I spent a bunch of time trying to get it to connect. Then I called Sonos and spent 45 min with them only to find that the sub was broken. Sonos sent me a new one that worked.
