Great picture, snappier android tv, pairs well with PS5 and HT-A9 speakers
Such a beautifully designed object, and most importantly the picture is stunningly crisp and clear. This smart TV is so enjoyable to me every time I turn it on,, and I'm so glad I bought it now and can easily stream live programing, as well as watch movies at home in all their glory!
I've had this tv for a little over a year and I am still in awe with the picture quality and the sound. There are so many features that I still need to grasp - all in good time. The tv is expensive, but worth every dime.
After owning lg oleds for years I made the switch to Sony! It's not even close from the upscaling to out of the box settings this tv is just on another level.
One word .... WOW!!! This TV is incredible. The picture is so vivid and clear. The bass that comes from this thing is intense. You almost don't need a soundbar. Seriously! When pairing it with my PS5, I actually feel a part of the game. I've owned lots of TVs, including the Samsung 9000 series and previous Master series Sony's, and none of them compare to the A95K. None of them! This, by far, is the best all around TV I've ever owned!!
I was all set to buy an LG or Samsung and then I watched and listened to the XR series. It took me 5 minutes to change my mind and purchase perhaps the finest technical television ever made. A word of advice - go slowly, understand the technology, the streaming interfaces, HDMI2.1 and define your needs/desires. Build out your sound system to give you great movie watching and consider a new gen AVR with a couple of side speakers/small towers to listen to non-tv music. Play with the settings and then refine what apps you pay for and what channels you stop subscribing to on DirecTV. We're considering the Sony STR AV1000ES AVR. With the right speakers you might not even use a subwoofer. We have the full width base support with no desire for a soundbar. Learn about the central sound channel and how it may or may not interact well with the peripheral speakers you select. So much to learn and benefit from, but worth it.
This is the finest television available for purchase today by far. Picture, sound is better than I have ever had in 30 years. The unit costs much more than competitive brands but is totally worth every penny.
First Sony Master series TV, it has been fantastic, lives up to the hype. Can't wait to rewatch old and new movies on this glorious television.
Mixed performance with audio poor compatibility with Sonys own internal products. Paired with a high end Sony sound bar the two pieces often do not talk to each other and turn on/off. The TV remote can't turn TV on consistently, picture quality is fine enough but not worth the price tag consider the poor user experience. You have to TURN ON HDMI high capacity settings it's not default and this feature is buried in the sub menus.
Great TV as far as picture and features go, but for a top of the line model to just stop working after less than 2 years was beyond disappointing.
