I bought this TV about two months ago and so far so good! I love TV design which match with my living room. The screen quality is amazing especially in 4k videos. Sound is loud enough so I think you do not need any sound bar. I think it is the best option for someone that is looking for an affordable TV with high quality!
Best picture of the 5 sonys I have previously owned, including a 65" sony OLED. No kidding. Almost bought another OLED but glad I did not. Seems my wi fi was causing the problems I had been having. No such problems now.
We've had this for a month and are very pleased so far. We had an older set with no ARC - so, I had a hdmi-optical hub and it was a hassle - not now. We have a Sonos surround sound setup with a Beam - with a pair of “One” Speakers and the Sub - in our living room we have 2 symfonics - 5.1 in family room adding the 2 in living room to make a “faux” 7.2 setup. Sound has never been better! With the Google TV - my wife can easily switch from cable tv to one of our streaming services without a “switch hdmi” nightmare (for her) - we have an Apple TV 4K, Blu-Ray/SACD/DVD and Cable DVR connected - switching is flawless and quick. We will be moving from the DVR to direct connect (via TV) for our cable - with standard channels (saving us $115 per month). The picture quality is outstanding and operation is flawless (my wife is quite pleased with the ease of moving from cable to Netflix to Apple TV to any of the other apps/streaming services - Google TV makes it very easy!). Plus, the price was great - we may end up buying another for the guest/grandkids room, as the kids love our new TV too. Great price, picture and sound!
I liked we could look for Sony 55'"tv online and read about its features and compare prices of other tv and their features. This Sony has a good rating and the features were what we were looking for. We also have another Sony 32" we have had for 15 years and still watching it. I also liked the fast and easy checkout service, and having it delivered to our home. The Sony 55" was easy to setup and the color and picture are great. At this time we are enjoying our Sony 55".
I normally buy Samsung TV's, but took a chance on The Sony X80K! What an amazing television. Very user friendly and phenomenal picture.
I like everything about this TV. Easy to hang on wall. My Son did it by himself! Clear, beautiful picture. And the price was right. At Walmart of course!!
I needed a new TV and my brother bought this one as well. Even thought it is big, it is not all that heavy and I managed to set it up on my own with my Roku. I am very happy with it. The price was very reasonable.
Just bought this TV and could not be happier. Great picture and sound, super easy to set up, and all of my apps are already loaded!
Bought the X80K to replace an A80K, which is deceased with failed T-Conn board. actully thought it was an OLED; didn't realize X80K wasn't until turned on and started checking it out. It's fine TV, just does not match my A80K. Well.... just my opinion.
Have had it about 3weeks and am loving it. My biggest complaint would be the casting and/or mirroring abilities for my android phone. Below average apps to choose from. I miss smart view. Also the browser apps available are stupid. Google TV but no Chrome browser?? Really?
