I got this last month....so glad I did. I looked and comparision shopped. I have other Sony products that I love. I had a floor set that I bought in 1988...for almost 20 years.
I have stuck with Samsung for too long but when I bought Sony TV 2 months ago it changed my views and I believed I wanna be Sony guy instead of Samsung guy. It has great features compare to Samsung
Bought this about 3 weeks ago. Had planned to get a different brand but all that was available in an 85”. Brought it home and hung it up and got it going. The picture is incredible. My concern had been apps. The other brand apparently had better app functionality. So far so good though.
Delivery was fast and the guy calls you before going to your house. TV Box is surrounded with bubble wrap and is enclosed within another box. Assembly is quick and easy, but 2 people is needed to secure the TV. Setting up the TV itself is easy if you already have a Google TV account. But for someone who doesn't, you can skip this part if you don't like doing the nitty gritty. Picture quality is great for an LED. Videos are smooth and crisp. Internet was easily connected and updated the TV firmware easily.
I love how easy the tv is to use. My kids, grandma… Everyone can use it with ease. The picture is great. Love that it has chrome cast already built in. It's easy to connect our Oculus to the tv. Only fault I found was one corner was bowed out, the other side was seamless.
thoroughly enjoy MLB on this X85J | 4K Ultra HD. 3rd best TV we own for movies. Only significant negative is the cheap remote, without numerals
as the title says it has everything i was looking for in a tv, mainly needed for PC gaming above 60Hz. also if you do yhe right settings you can see colors better especially when playing Scarlet and Violet, even more so when shiny hunting, tv will make shiny hunting a bit better for the shinies that are hard to tell in yhe overworld like Happiny and Duraludon.
yes i bought this TV to use it for filming with a FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS Sony lens and camera Sony A6300 will have to write back to see how my filming studio will do with this TV sense and camera all Sony products, I must say if you using a new xbox XS or Sony PlayStation this TV is not for it it dont have all the right FPS or GHZ to support the new xbox or playstion it will register 60GHZ for video gaming eventuate the back of the TV say 120GHZ for new xbox you will need a better tV but for filming and play video game is very good once i start doing my own movies this is my TV to film and edit my music videos or movies
I wanted the most technology available in a 43" TV and that led me to KV43X85J. The head-on picture quality is top of the line. However, as I start going to the left and the right of the TV an amazing thing happens. The picture turns into soft pastels and it looks like I'm watching the TV through a sheer curtain. The dealer that I bought the TV from said that the X85J series by Sony has that issue and except the picture. Which I have.
This is great except for one major defect. There is a grid of gray lines that is very noticeable when viewing light backgrounds where the video pans across the screen. This makes most sports unbearable to watch. The owners forums are littered with people experiencing the same issue which makes it seem like this model is simply defective.
