Sony - 77" Class BRAVIA XR A80J Series OLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV

We bought this product 6 months ago and have found the quality great, enhanced with a Sonos soundbar. Great picture, links well with Google and Apple TV, as well as Netflix. Can't fault it and would buy again. Screen mirroring also works well with ipads.

Have had this just over 2 years now and has lived up to expectations. All the functionality I need is there. Google TV still runs quickly and reliably. No issues casting to it and all sound interfaces (connected to home theatre) work seamlessly. Aside from great picture for TV and streaming, I also use to present / review photos which is excellent. Rich, but well balanced colours, deep blacks and sharp as you'd expect from a modern OLED. Probably the only shortcoming which isn't limited to this model would be screen reflection. It does feel glossy, but seems par for the course now with all TVs. Overall, very happy and hope to have many more good years ahead.

I decided to replace the old Sony 32" with a smart TV. I found it very easy to set up, and the features are incredible! Picture clarity is everything I have come to expect from Sony, and the sound is rich. A great TV, and has all the apps necessary for all subscription services.

So far after two weeks I am very pleased with the A80J. Came very well packed. not difficult to put together, not sure about repositioning the feet(may want to place a sound bar in front). The sound system is good but for action movies may want more uufff.I don't understand the remot control shortcomingsi.e. no backlite & doesn't power the set off? great for selecting streaming services by button. The TV looks very elegant and stream line, the picture is great (especially right out the box) the set-up was fairly easy and simple, in short in my humble opinion it was money well spent. For a OLED set I don't have any problem veiwing it during the daytime in my living room when watching off angle the window glare is quite noticeable but not terrible. The picture is plenty bright without pushing any settings. The blacks are really good brings out details clear and sharp. The upscaling really makes regular cable programming look good. Haven't checked out any 1080p streaming movies yet but I'm sure I'm in for a treat. I'm impressed Sony! I'm not a TV expert just my honest opinion. Watched a lot of U-tube on QLED and OLED TV's before I made my choice so yes I do have a clue also checked them out at military exchanges and best buy every chance I got. I'm not a gamer so I can't comment on that aspect. Off angle viewing is good also

This TV exceeded all my expectations, and I've been pleased that I purchased it. WIth one exception: I continue to experience HDMI lockout to an external soundbar, 2x to 3x per week. This has become an annoying nuisance to an otherwise great system.
