Distinguished by its updated sensor design, the Alpha a7 III Mirrorless Digital Camera from Sony is a well-rounded camera suitable for both photo and video applications in a variety of working situations. Refined for improved speed and low-light performance, the full-frame 24.2MP Exmore R BSI CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor pair to realize an impressive 10 fps continuous shooting rate and improved autofocus performance for faster, more reliable subject tracking along with wide frame coverage. This updated Fast Hybrid AF System employs a combination of 693 phase-detection points and 425 contrast-detection areas for quicker acquirement of focus in a variety of lighting conditions, and also maintains focus on subjects more effectively. In addition to speed and AF, the processing improvements also help to realize greater image clarity and reduced noise throughout the sensitivity range from ISO 100-51200, which can further be expanded to ISO 50-204800. Video recording capabilities have also been extended for enhanced quality when recording UHD 4K video with the full width of the full-frame sensor to minimize moir and aliasing. Additionally, benefitting both stills and video operation, the a7 III utilizes a 5-axis Steady Shot INSIDE sensor-shift image stabilization, which is now effective to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 5 stops. Beyond just updates to the imaging system, the a7 III's body design has also been revised to include a rear 3.0" 922k-dot touchscreen LCD, which has a tilting design to better support working from high and low angles. A 2.36m-dot True-Finder OLED EVF is also featured for bright and clear eye-level monitoring. For greater shooting flexibility, dual SD memory card slots are now featured, and a larger NP-FZ100 battery is also employed to achieve up to approximately 710 shots per charge. Suiting the camera's use in trying conditions, the magnesium-alloy chassis and weather-sealing also render the a7 III dust- and moisture-resistant.

MONSTER CAMERA, great quality images, amazing video and much much more.
This camera is all around an amazing value, Sony has done a great job making it such a premium camera at a great price. The silent shooting, joystick and burst capabilities make this such a worthwhile upgrade coming from an older crop body. I couldn't get a camera near as good of a value in the full frame form factor from any other brand, maybe unless I wanted to switch to Pentax. If Sony keeps it up they will be the top dogs in a few years as DSLRs wane in popularity and people want the latest and greatest in sensor technology. I'm glad I switched from Canon years ago to the E-Mount Alpha series and haven't wanted to look back since.
I've used Sony cameras before and I really enjoy how compact and ergonomic they are to use. The colors come out great and they work very well in lowlight as well.
Beautiful crystal clear photos. A bit of a learning curve. But I expected that.
Been shooting the a7iii for 18 months and love it. So versatile. Fast auto focus I shoot wildlife, Astro and landscape. It is truly a versatile camera.
I am extremely happy with my purchase…the camera stays in my bag…this is my first mirrorless camera purchase and I can't be happier
I have used these for years during high school as these were the mules we used for our broadcast and yearbook classes/electives and they are always such a joy and pleasure to use! and now owning my own I can confirm, from shooting and taking pictures just with the stock lens as I say makes me love this camera a little more every day!
I've only had the A7III for a couple weeks but I am very impressed with the functionality of the camera and the quality of the photos that I've taken so far. Camera operation is easy to learn and customization options for buttons and My Menu work great. The only thing that I would like is for the grip to be larger for all four fingers to hold the camera
This camera is good. However, it doesn't focus well on small objects, the body is too small (there's no place for your pink, which feels unstable), and the menu is way, way too big and complex. As a former Canon enthusiast, the complexity of this camera makes me want to throw it off the mountain sometimes! I want to be able to quickly change between modes/color schemes without having to change a million settings and/or do a million calculations in my head. The camera is good, but its got a long way to go before its great. Also, the cost for sony lenses is way overpriced, and needs to come down 20% before I would be willing to keep this camera. Who knows, maybe in 1-2 years they'll finally have fixed the problems? I sure hope so, because there's tons of potential for this camera...just wouldn't buy at this time.
Camera keeps getting error code. “Can't read SD card in slot 1. Please reinsert” Someone please help!!!!
