Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII Digital Camera Mixing speed, reach, and portability, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VII is a pocket-sized camera packing a wealth of stills and video versatility. This seventh-generation camera in the esteemed RX100 series is the second to feature the impressive 24-200mm-equivalent ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens that covers wide-angle to telephoto focal lengths for greater shooting flexibility in a variety of conditions. Making use of the extended range is a redesigned 20.1MP 1" Exmor RS CMOS sensor, along with an improved BIONZ X image processor, for fast shooting performance, high sensitivity to ISO 12800, and UHD 4K video recording. The updated sensor design is all about speed and enables blackout-free continuous shooting up to 20 fps for easier subject tracking. Single Burst Shooting also permits shooting at an extreme 90-fps setting for working with the fastest moving subjects. The sensor's design also provides a 357-point hybrid AF system for quick and accurate focus performance and subject tracking in both stills and video modes. A stacked design and front-end LSI also contribute to quickened operation and enhanced image quality. Video performance also remains impressive with the incorporation of S-Log3 and HLG gamma settings, and High Frame Rate shooting allows you to record at up to 960 fps for slow-motion playback.
Retaining the classic sleek form factor of an RX100, the VII still has a pocketable stature despite the extended zoom lens. A pop-up 2.36m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder is a sleek means for eye-level viewing or, alternatively, a 3.0" 921.6k-dot LCD touchscreen can be used The LCD features a tilting design to support working from high and low angles and its touch capability permits the use of Touch Focus and Touch Shutter functions. The camera also sports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for sharing imagery to a linked mobile device or for embedding location information from your smartphone 20.1MP 1" Exmor RS CMOS Sensor BIONZ X Image Processor. Utilizing an advanced stacked structure with an integrated DRAM chip, the updated 20.1MP 1" Exmor RS CMOS sensor of the RX100 VII is able to deliver outstanding image quality from ISO 100-12800 with incredibly fast performance This sensor stacks the pixel area, a high-speed signal processing circuit, and memory in order to increase data throughput and deliver features such as Single Burst Shooting, an Anti-Distortion shutter, UHD 4K video, and more. This 1" sensor also has 357 phase-detection AF points and 425 contrast-detection areas for faster, more precise focusing The front-end LSI and enhanced sensor performance also improve overall image quality, especially at higher sensitivities, by reducing noise and offering higher perceived resolution and color definition ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T 24-200mm Lens Spanning an impressive 24-200mm equivalent range, the integrated ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens suits photographing in a wide range of situations. Now covering wide-angle to mid-telephoto, the updated zoom range affords greater shooting versatility while still retaining a compact form factor due to the f/2.8-4.5 maximum aperture range The optical design incorporates eight aspherical elements, including four advanced aspherical (AA) elements, to greatly reduce aberrations and distortions in order to achieve high sharpness and accurate rendering. A ZEISS T anti-reflective coating has also been applied to suppress reflections and glare for improved Sony RX100 VII 20.1 Megapixel Compact Camera, Black 3" LCD to view captured pictures Delivers best-in-class imaging performance optimized for use in digital cameras Allows the user to appreciate and enjoy the captured photos and videos in widescreen Envision the fun of having the capacity to shoot spectacular HD videos that you can later share with your friends and family Capture lovely shots without worrying about the distance with an 8x zoom Focus on your object quickly even if the object starts moving Share the images from your camera to your phone effortlessly via built-in Wi-Fi

Read all the reviews and decided to try it, I have not been disappointed by quality of videos and photos! Menu's could use a bit of cleaning up but it has everything you could want!
I bought this camera recently and have been experimenting with it. so far I'm very happy with the results. It has many powerful functions and I'm not sure I'll be able to enjoy all of them, but it will spur me to be a better photographer. My two chief annoyances are that the screen is not touch enabled and the ergonomics are not the best. This camera should have a grip, because it's small and could easily slip given the material of which it's made
one of my best investments ever! seriously love everything about it, its only been a month since ive had it and i cant think of a single thing i dislike about it! i would recommend it :))
Traded my Sony HX99 for the RX100VII because the functions are pretty similar except the 700mm zoom. The images are much better especially in lower light! Maybe not as good as the Va would be but I needed more than 70mm zoom for wildlife photos! Very happy with stepping up!
I came from a Nikon d750 with a range of lenses from 24mm to 200mm. It got old lugging all that gear around. I wanted small but still something I could count on for great high quality images. So, I got me a Sony RX100 M7... I have had this camera now for 9mo. It takes a little getting used to and you need to spend some time with its feature set, which is enormous btw. If you do you will find a very capable camera. I am pleased with IQ and how very fast the camera is. It starts quickly, shoots fast i.e. NO shutter lag, the AF is very fast and spot on. I have spent a good amount of time with its features and how I want it set up. I highly advise people to utilize the memory recall feature and set the camera up for certain shooting situations. I have one for sports, portraits and landscapes. This took a bit of time but was actually enjoyable and well worth it. The camera's lens is fantastic, from 24mm to 200mm the images are sharp and clear. JPG's are the best I have seen from any camera. You don't buy this camera to just use it on auto, although it will give really great results, it's features are just to good to pass up. I urge anyone to spend a Sat. morning going through the manual and really getting to know it's features. The auto ISO is one I use 90% of the time now, something I never did with my DSLR. Overall I love the camera, it's size, it's weight.. it's so much nicer to haul around then 15lbs of DSLR gear.
Received just as I ordered. Quick delivery.
I love the camera: the focus speed, sharpness of the less, dynamic range and color, viewfinder. I with it had a neutral density filter and and a bit of rubber material on the front of the right side of the camera for a bitter grip. This will be my travel and go-to camera when I don't want to carry anything heavier.
So far 3 stars. I bought it 2.5 weeks ago. Had few blurred pictures, it just would not focus not sure what was the issue either to close when taking selfie or to quick even when object far! I will continue trying and rewrite review.
Received a returned item. Photos are OK, similar to what can be gotten from the phone so not a big improvement. Handy size but almost too small and not 'beefy' enough.
Walmart had the lowest price for this camera, $150 less than other places. Ordering online: The first credit card I used (Fidelity) kept generating a fraud alert. Second card was from Chase and generated fraud alerts which I overrode and used to purchase the item. A day later I got a call from Fidelity and they said that high dollar purchases at Walmart are an indication of possible fraud; hence the alerts. Fulfillment of the Order: The camera wasn't stocked and sold by Walmart. It was sold through Walmart by one of their 3rd party vendors. That was a minor concern until I received my camera. The A/C adaptor for the camera was not US compatible. This means the 3rd party was using stock not purchased for sale and use in the US. Return/Refund Process: It starts off very easy - initiate it online, print out a sheet with the barcode, take it to a Walmart store. Gotcha! It can take up to 2 weeks before you receive the refund back to your credit card. The item you got from the 3rd party needs to be shipped back to them, they examine the product and they authorize the refund! Not exactly something that is stated in the 30 day return policy. In addition to that the clerk was not interested in verifying that the all of the items were in the box and not put to use. I had to insist it look at it. Would I shop at Walmart again - yes. Would I buy something from then online? Only if it was clear that it is stocked by Walmart and sold by Walmart.
