This is an amazing tool for the media center, replaces your TV remote since sony remote binds itself to your TV (any) and your ps5. You dont need the game controller to be opened in order to use the media center now
Next gen remote buy it is pretty sick!
While I do game, I use the PS5 for a media hub often. The inclusion of the PS button and the Options button give this remote full functionality to navigate and power up/down the PS5 without needing a controller at all. Very useful for me!

I do appreciate the small size compared to the PS3 and 4 remotes but I find the main directional buttons in the middle of the device feel a bit too small. However it has a strong remote signal along with grippy material. I also like the design aesthetic since it's clearly inspired by the rest of the PS5.
Nice remote. easy to set up and navigate but from day one after we put the batteries the cover keeps popping off. Had to put a rubber band to keep it from popping off. So now it look cheap
