I picked up these headphones as an upgrade with the ipod nano that I purchased. I will just say that the 5 star rating for "meets expectations" is a little misleading. These headphones go far beyond any expectations that I could have had. A must buy for anyone who loves music.
Great value for the money I compared these to a pair of the DR. DRE Beat headphones and could not tell the difference between the two. These headphones have great clarity, bass, highs, lows, etc. Definitely worth the purchase for under $20 bucks. However, if you want to spend $200 bucks for the name and looks of the DR. Dre headphones go right ahead because that is all you are paying for is the looks. Because these headphones sound just as good.
I bought these headphones about six months ago, and after breaking them in (no more than half volume on iPod or computer) i started using them for practicing bass guitar at FULL VOLUME and they sounded amazing. But it gets better, I love the sound of bass so i hooked them up to my computer and ran a bass tester that went from 320hz all the way down to 10hz at FULL VOLUME and they reproduced every sound PERFECTLY, even the 10hz. If you look at the description they are only meant to go down to 18hz so these perform above and beyond what i paid. Recommend to whomever is serious about sound. It is important to break them in first, your patience will be reworded.
I bought these headphones for myself to use with the portable dvd player that I purchased at the same time. They are smaller than I imagined and thats a plus!! Adjustable, comfortable, great sound...what more could I ask. Oh yeah! The price is great too!! :) Buy these, you will like them!
Although it took a bit of time to get used to the headphones, they hurt my ears for about a week while I wore them, I got used to it. I love the sound quality and the cord seems like it will last a long time. I would rate this purchase a 9/10. :)
My friend Lisa let me borrow her classic Ipod and she forgot to give me the headphones. So, I headed to my local Walmart and at first bought some Sony earbud style headphones. I went back and was so disatisfied with the headphones, felt too lazy to come back to my local Walmart, went online and saw the awesome reviews on this product and without hesitation ordered it online and I've been more than satisfied with these headphones since. I think with 200+ 5 star reviews; you can't go wrong with these. It's worth every penny that it's priced at. BUY THESE!
These have to be the best priced headphones I have ever seen. Granted they were a bit less 2 years ago but this price and quality is still unmatchable. I have bought a total of 5 pairs of these of which the first three were from in-store, then they quit carrying them and I had to wait a bit.
I just got my headphones today and i must say, I'm quite impressed for a $16 Dollar headphones. I owned 7 headphones ranging 5-60 dollar range and these are so far my 2nd favorite! The sound is okay.... But the treble seems weak and lacks clarity IMO. The bass is just right for the price, not too weak nor to strong. Next is the comfort, I like the feeling of the ear pads except the pressure pressing on my ears are a tad bit too much. My ears tend to get uncomfortable for a while but its manageable. Okay now thirdly is the durability, The head framing is small and fragile especially the part that holds the speakers to the frame. I'm a little hesitant to pull it apart a couple of inches because it feels like it'll snap. And now the wire coating, The thickness is huge! it's around 3x bigger then iPod earphones so i don't think ill have a problem of straining it. In conclusion to this review, I would recommend this product to Medium music listeners. Great for Mp3's, PSP's, Movie's and be careful that you don't sit on it!
This headset provides really good sound quality while letting me hear other sounds like my doorbell or telephone. It can't be beat for the price. It could be improved by adding a foot or two to the cord length. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
everyone is right about how tight these are on your head - I neither could have, or would have lived with them as they were, but I did like the sound, so I decided to take off the headband part, and heat in oven to 200 degrees, then bend till they fit well. (guesstimated, and got it the first time, cause you wont really know, till you put them back together) if you want to try the same, 200 degrees is safe for any plastic, but if u do happen to break them, don't blame me. they're great now, and if they had been this way to begin with, I'd have have given them a five star all the way around.
