Never thought anyone could surpass the Sound Industry Leader Bose. Boy was I surprised! If there was ever a company who could do it, SONY's the one. After all, "Sony Smashed The Music Listening Industry When It Provided A Label For The Worlds Leading Recording Artists"! Nobody knows sound better than they do. These WH 1000Xm3 headphones scream "High Quality" right out of the box! Talk about paying attention to listeners needs, "Sony Set The Bar Way Up There" for envious followers to reach for. "GOD LUCK"! The easy to download and pair Sony Headphones Connect App makes getting right to the business of immersing yourself in the sound recording session of your downloads a simple "Tap-Connect-Hold Onto Your Seat- n Enjoy Heaven as we imagine it to be"! Now, to be honest, "The 360 Feature" isn't what it appears to be. Deezer has the most content available..artists you thought left the stage are back. But I'm a recording professional drummer and can't notice "Any Difference" in sound quality using their services. What I do notice is a "Decrease" in sound purity. The Hi-Res is enhanced so pure, you can hear the needle scratching vinyl from original studio recording, or a digitally enhanced copy of an LP. Either way, "It's so noticeable I removed the app entirely". Who wants to listen to a beautiful voice like Steve Perry scrubbed so raw it he sounds like Steven Tyler? Not me. Don't waste your $$. They offer nothing you can't get from other music services like Spotify or Apple Music.
Lets say the truth if sony desinged a home console such as the ps4 to be beast mode perfect well these headphones are no exception i trashed my beats studio 3's for these the clarity of the audio cant be matched by no other headphones they look a d feel amazing the confort is perfect the ability to use the app teak the sound to your confort a d taste its unmached by other headphone brands these are the best purchase ive ever gotten and honestly i would buy the XM4's if they made em trust me people these are the best ever over trashy beats or bose QC35 II i really recomend these to those who want crisp quality audio for good
I bought these headphones for noise-cancelling feature to avoid the sound during metro travel. But, it's truly been an amazing experience listening to movies on tv. I can hear rich small details which we would rather miss on tv sound. Enjoying the true cinematic experience with these headphones has been incredible. There were touch controls issues during cold climate conditions. I would really like to see Dolby Atmos feature in the near future.
I fly international mostly where there are few babies crying. Domestic travel is a different story. Babies crying. I put these on and I still hear the baby but almost not at all. They are good, but are too expensive for what they are. I only had them a few months and the color, silver\tan, started to come off. I used them after I bought them in October 2019. Since then I used them once at home. I cannot figure out why the color is fading. These are a bit above average but the color coming off is below average. Dinging them 2 stars for aesthetics. The non-tactile volume\pause\play button is a problem. Using a swiping motion on the ear cup to pause, turn up, play is difficult. One swipe at an angle and you're on to the next track or screeching volume.

These are the perfect wireless ANC headphones if you want to listen to music. Would not recommend these headphones if you also plan to make phone calls. The call quality is horrible for the person you're on the call with, plus your own voice echoes back to you as you are talking. There are no settings available to fix this either on the headphones themselves or on the Sony headphones app. As soon as you make a call, there is a static sound in the background and your voice can sound echoed to the listener. If you google this, it's a common problem with the WH-1000XM3s. Apart from the phone call quality, these are probably the world's best ANC(active noise canceling) headphones if you want to listen to music. Lots of options to customize how you want them to sound via the easy to use Sony Headphones app and a very powerful/authoritative bass which matches the price you are paying for the headphones. There is probably something wrong with the microphone on these headphones in the product line which may be the cause for the issues with phone calls. Apart from that, these are unbeatable and are worth the price!
I purchased these about six months ago for traveling, and really enjoyed them. However, since spending more time at home due to COVID, I've started using them for frequently (e.g. 2-3 days a week). The plastic on the headbands is of extremely poor design, and has completely fractured.
These headphones have amazing sound quality, connectivity features, and no nonsense operability. The issue I encountered was the build quality is flimsy on the hinges. I’ve used these at an average of 2 to 3 times a week for 2 to 3 hours taking transit for 5 months. I was just using the headphones this afternoon lying on my bed (45 degree recline if that even matters) and then I felt something graze the back of my ear like something fell off and then I saw chips of plastic. I quickly inspected my headphones and saw that it came from the hinge plate that’s in between the foam headband and the ear cup. I inspected the other side and saw that the other was also coming undone and it had a crack already. It seems like there’s stress forming on these spots because the cracks were uniform. Hopefully the entirety of the hinge plates don’t fall off.
