This is by far the nicest beds I have ever bought for my children. There is a lot of assembly and the box is insanely heavy. You need 2 people to move the boxes. I bought 2 headboards with matching beds with the 3 drawers underneath. It took me 2 days to get the beds put together and a whole lot of work. The beds are absolutely beautiful and perfect for my pre-teens. They are very heavy and sturdy beds that will last many years.
I bought this item to be used with the bed. Very useful on top, however the bottom compartment can't be used if backing to a wall. Or it can become a hidden location.
We bought two of the South Shore Shaker beds and also purchased these matching headboards. The assembly is extremely easy -- it took about an hour from start to finish. My girls love all of the shelves upon which they can keep their most treasured toys.
I bought 2 of these for my grandkids for when they stay overnight. I was on a very tight budget so I bought what I could afford. And frankly, at this price point I was expecting something very thin and flimsy. Not the case with these. It took 2 of us about 30 or 40 min. to assemble.

I bought this headboard as a set with the bed because I already had a chest and dresser from the same company. I bought those 2 items almost 4 years ago and they still look like new. I like this line because the items are low cost but durable. The assembly instructions are easy to follow (it helps to have 2 people) and you don't need to be a craftsman to get the job done. I can say that there are extra wood pieces in the box to protect the real parts. When we first removed everything, we thought there were broken pieces, but those were just for padding. All of the real parts were fine. I would recommend this to anyone looking for quality furniture on a budget. It gets the job done. It looks nice. And it's durable.
Works well for necessary items keeping things within easy reach. Too many parts though took quite a bit of time to assemble.
This headboard and bookshelf are ok. It is trickier to assemble than the actual bed. The quality of the wood is not bad and it matches the bed perfectly. I would recommend this purchase.
It's very easy to assembly this headboard, takes myself like 20 minutes. And it looks very nice. I decided not to connect it to the bed because it'll be easy to move.
