looks good, works good, easily assembled. Great product.
Received on time, excellent material and construction. Instructions could be improved at least a better drawing. No problem, angle piece at bottom goes toward the rear.
Very well built but takes some patients to put together took about 45 minuts start to. Finish
Gets the kayaks off the ground and serves its purpose for the price
Works as advertised. Some of the long screws were slightly shorter than they should have been, but I was able to use them for the top rack. I also added some padding (pipe insulating foam) to the lower vertical bars.
Went together easily and holds my two Feelfree Lures, which are quite heavy and bulky, very well. Very compact. We'll see how it holds up but pleased with the purchase at this point.
I got this of $129 from Walmart online, but about 14 days after my purchase, this rack's price got lowered to $125. Bummer! It is easy to put together - for me all the bolts lined up alright. I got it assembled in about 30 minutes, with me being a total klutz in handywork. My two kayaks are 10ft long and about 33" wide and as far as I understand, kayaks should be stored on its side, not on their bottoms. So the lower kayak, as you can see on the photo, has just barely enough space to be stored sideways, and the upper kayak has no support to be sitting sideways. The rack itself didn't come with any kind of tall"feet" but has predrilled holes for casters. In the future, I will get some in order to raise this rack by just a bit. I give this rack 3 stars - it does its job but from the description on the Walmart webpage it was almost impossible to tell how the kayaks would fit. I wish there would be more space for the bottom kayak to be more upright, but there isn't. If this rack would be truly freestanding (not along a fence), it would still hold those heavy kayaks (each is about 45lbs), but I am afraid a huge wind gust could throw it over. For $129 this rack was probably a bit overpriced, but oh well, there wasn't anything similar available.
The instructions to assemble this rack are incorrect, and if you follow them, it will require a good deal more work than necessary, and could cause damage to the product. Little screws go down the bottom, and big screws at the top. Also, this product SAYS RIGHT ON THE BOX (but not on this website) that it is INDOOR ONLY. Finally, it says on the website, good for kayaks of any length. THE BOX says otherwise 14 feet (75 lbs) on top, and 16 feet (100 lbs) on the bottom. All in all, this product is a cheap, short term solution. It's wobbly, and will probably fall apart before long (especially because I needed something for outdoor use). I currently am using it for storage of 2 14-15 foot 60-70 lbs kayaks, and it serves the purpose.
