I have been homeschooling for 4 years and just switched over from online curriculum to doing my own. These spectrum book make it easy. I feel confident in knowing what I have a little guidance in what my kids can be learning next.
This book along with the abacus makes learning fun for little children.
I am tutoring a struggling 2nd grader and this is a good resource for her.
For a little over 8 bucks, this will help give my daughter some extra goals to strengthen her skills in Math. Technically, she's in 1st grade. After seeing this 2nd grade version (I bought it worried the first grade one might not challenge her), I will pick up the 1st grade one too. Also, this was shipped very quickly and packed really well. Thank you, Walmart for another happy purchase.
I use this book when I need some extra practice or reinforcement of a particular concept. I home school my children, several of whom have special needs and cannot move along as fast as most home school curriculum require. I find I need supplements or extra sheets so they do not get behind and end up frustrated. These workbooks help. I am a brand ambassador for Carson Dellosa and I received this product free for review.
Very disappointed that this book does cover money. The children have already spent a significant anount of time in the subject. I usually have my kids follow along with the additional book. However, they couldn't do that because there are no money questions. Why? This is a big topic. I had to go out and buy an additional book. When a book says "Correlated to Current State Standards", I would hope that they looked into that curriculum before printing. Very disappointed and will be using other materials in the future.
Half of the book are for 1st grade
