Absolutely love this stuff. I have used the Splat Semi-Perm colors (Blue & Pink Fetish) decided to eventually go dark after 1- 1/2 yrs of splatting. Being bored with dark brown hair i used the Splat Washables and i am amazed, i love this stuff! (: I see negative reviews about it but i don't understand. I think the people that wrote it lasted too long mayb used the semi-permanent box...not the washables because it comes right off when i take a shower. Oh and the people that wrote it was flakey...you need to put hair spray BEFORE and AFTER you apply the color becasue it locks the color in. My hair is re0ally dark and still comes out the color i want, best thing about it is i can change it whenever i want.
I bought the purple for my 9 year old daughter. She absolutely loves it. The wand was easy to use. My daughter started with clean hair which we then dried with a blowdryer. Then as the directions state I put hairspray in her hair then color and more hairspray. Her hair came out perfect. I see minor amounts of it coming out of her hair after it is dry. She is able to show her style at school or on weekends. I will be buying other colors.

I bought this dye thinking that it probably wouldn't work but i needed to dye my hair last minute and didn't have enough money to get professional bleach and dye. so i got this hoping for the best. All i can say is the color is brighter than i thought, it looks exactly like the girl on the box and the bleach did a wonderful job with minimal damage. I've dyed my hair before and have never had it come out this amazing definitely going to keep buying Splat. i naturally have dark brown almost black hair and the color took so well. I left the bleach in for about 30 min. and the red dye in for about a hour. The one i got was SPLAT complete kit in Luscious Raspberries
I bought red and blue washables for my 2-year-old and 4-year-old boys for Memorial Day, and they thought it was great. It was very easy to apply, and after a few minutes of letting it dry, I took a hair brush and brushed their hair to get rid of that "crunchy" look of the dye. It smoothed out very nicely after brushing! It took about 2 hair washings to get it out, but the boys didn't seem to mind having it in for a couple days :) And it did NOT stain their skin, if my toddlers can wear this stuff without getting it all over themselves and these "adults" who wrote reviews complaining of the exact opposite, there is obviously something wrong with them... It's not rocket science, people! LoL. It's a simple, washable product, and I will definately buy it again if needed :)
A few months back I decided to put some red in my hair and the color turned out fabulous! I was being complimented nonstop with this product. But don't be fooled. The product is a little bit to work with. The semi-permanent stains your skin a little, but it comes out with acne wash real easily. And also, you might not want to shampoo your hair with this product as often if you plan to keep it in for a while. I remember when I dyed my full head purple, I couldn't wash it very often. But other than that, great product, I seem to be using it more and more often. Oh, and the value. Small bottle, I wish they were larger, but they charge you $8 for the color and bleach which is a good value. But I don't recommend the bleach they give you because it makes my scalp very itchy. I'd recommend using a L'oreal lightening mixture. And for people who don't seem to be liking it, you guys are using it wrong or your intentions with it are for another product.
Bought this for my son for his birthday. We give him a spiked Mohawk then color the tips. Works great, washes out easy just as the box says.
I bought this product in red hoping to use it casually if before I go out I wanted to add a little spunk. Problem #1: The box says "Do not use hair spray before using this product" BUT on the actual tube of dye it says "Be sure to use hair spray before and after using this product".. What? Problem #2: Messy. This product did not set after spraying it with hairspray, but continued to say wet and drip off of my hair. It did stain my skin a little bit. Problem #3: After squeezing the section of hair with a rag to get rid of all the excess that was dripping off my hair before it dripped all over my floor, it was chunky and gross. (and still wet) I had to repeatedly brush it with TWO different brushes before it came out sort of nice and colored. Through the hassle though, the color turned out nice. BUT. It could be way better, and I do not recommend buying.
I have red in my hair and my daughter wanted her hair like mine. i orded the red the box said red but the dye was orange. It took forever to dry and once it did her hair was crunchy . i couldnt comb her hair so i washed it out, when washing it out it turned to orange bubbles just like it was shampoo.
Without reading the reviews, I bought this expecting to turn out as it says however, my hair turned a joker green and was horrific. The company would do nothing would not refund my money or pay for the replacement hair color I had to buy to cover the green up and even then it did not cover completely. The green color is starting to show as the dark brown fades. Horrible product do not buy especially from company that does not stand behind their product
