I pulled it out of the box, filled it with the fuel mix, and started digging. It worked great. Maybe too good, I had to back fill a couple on holes because I dug too deep.
complete and ready to go right out of the box, just attach included 4" dia. auger (not sure why the title says 6") with pin, fill with pre-mix fuel and start drilling; I used it to drill about 24 fence post in clayey Texas soil with rock and roots; does a decent job but can't power through stone or thick roots like a 2-person auger might, but then again I don't have a helper so a smaller motor is more manageable; I used it to help dig my holes and sold it a week later to a neighbor for more than half of what I paid delivered to my door; in the manner of use-and-flip it's a win-win; no less expensive auger available in this size range; can't speak to it's long-term durability, but for short-term, single project use I think it's hard to beat
quick learning curve. Dug 20 post holes and was sittin in the shade.
Used this to put up a new fence. This is a great product. Easy to use, one man operation. Great product, great price. THIS IS A KEEPER.
I got this Couple weeks ago. How to make some holes for my Fence post toget put into the ground so easy what a time saver
This unit works great ! I bought some 50:1 fuel in a can , put it in , primed it and pulled 1x. made 7 holes that some 4 X 4 by 10 foot post went into just fine. poured in the quick-concrete. and done in one day. Beats a hand post hole digger bad. Saves time
Just got done looking at augers on Amazon and put one in my cart. Usually I will look around a little more then order something. I received some mail from Sams .com and there was an auger available, same features, $80.00 less. It arrived the next day, no kidding, free shipping because I am a plus member, and because they had it in a nearby warehouse I got it immediately. So far we have dug fence posts, put a Flag post in the front yard, and now using it to plant bushes.. Makes planting so much easier!
Wish I bought one sooner, worked great, saved a lot of time , started on third pull of cord.lots of power for a small unit.
bought this auger to install 4x4 fence post and it has proven to be a great tool for the task.
I would not recommend this unless you're digging into sand. This does not work well in harder soil or ground, it also cannot dig through roots or have a larger diameter bit other than what comes with it.
