I have a lot of experience with omega 3 supplements, and I also get vitamin D separately. So I was very excited to have the opportunity to try a supplement that included both: vitamin D and omega 3. It makes it easier to remember to take my supplements if I remember to tale one instead of two; so that is definitely a plus. As expected of any supplement that contains fish oil in it, the pills are quite big but surprisingly easy to swallow. The bottle comes in completely sealed, and the pills do not stick to each other as other fish oil supplements do. I recommend these supplements.
I have developed dry eye. 2000 mg is very effective in helping dry eye she said. So I searched and bought this because its organic and free of heavy metals. It's helping my eyes and I also noticed as a result my skin is softer. With having Vitamin D3 1000 IU is an advantage. I don't have to buy 2 different supplements to fulfill my dietary needs. Omega 3 and Vitamin D3 is good for the brain, bones eyes, skin and heart healthy. I have received this Spring Valley Omega 3 with Vitamin D3 as part of a review program. I have been taking Omega 3 and Vitamin D3 for years. It is an asset to my health. No fishy after taste as they are lemon flavored.
The Omega-3 (from Fish Oil) Maximum Care by Spring Valley has 2000 mg of Omega-3 per serving and also has 1000 IU of Vitamin D3. There are 120 softgels and two per day is recommended. The softgels are rather on the large size but with water they will slide right down. They appear to be of good quality. They contain highly purified fish oil and have minimal ingredients. They have a “natural lemon flavor” to control fishy aftertaste, but I haven't encountered that flavor. I usually take these with food and then I don't have a problem with any aftertaste. I've been told to take fish oil and this seems like a good product and less expensive than the big name brands.
Capsule measures 1" long and 3/8" wide 120 softgel capsules in this bottle 2 softgels equal 2000 mg - so each softgel is 1000 mg Instructions say take 2 capsules per day - preferable with a meal 120 capsules in this container, so, following the instructions of 2 capsules per day, this container lasts 60 days. You can taste the hint of lemon flavor which is a nice addition to a fish oil. The container with softgels inside does not smell fishy. Ingredients list includes: Fish oil (anchovies and or sardines and or mackerel and or herring), gelatin, water, lemon flavor Label says that this does not contain gluten, yeast, wheat, dairy, sugar, artificial color, or artificial flavor. Gluten-allergic spouse uses fish oil products and is very happy that this does not make his stomach hurt. At first he thought - woohoo a 2000 mg capsule to reduce the number of pills he takes, but he quickly read the instructions that this is a 1000 mg capsule so he would take two per day. He also is happy that these softgels contains Vitamin D3. He likes that this may help his body to absorb calcium.
So I've taken fish oil on and off for a while now. Every kind I have tried has given me burps. Not a HUGE deal, but annoying. I have been running lately so I was hoping this would help my joints and specifically knees. Fish oil also claims to aid in weight management and even depression symptoms. I have never experienced this with any fish oil but I do feel like it helps my skin. It may be too soon to see if this brand will make a difference, but I like it. I can see improvement in my skin and my knee so I'll try another bottle when this runs out. Pills are standard size. Easy to take. Packaged well.
I opted for the Spring Valley Omega-3 from Fish Oil Maximum Care Softgels with Vitamin D because of the health benefits touted on the label. At my age, I can use the help with my eyes, brain, bones and heart. These softgels are large; I wish they were a bit smaller and easier to swallow.
I received this item for the purpose of review. I am excited to receive this omega 3 capsule. Large bottle but capsule is also large ... 1 inch in length. Mostly want it for vitamin D. We are in our 60s and I believe this supplement is almost necessary. Too early to tell but I am taking it along with my vitamin drink every day. Hope it helps. Thank you Walmart!
I have yet to notice any real benefit from taking these Omega 3 supplements. I do believe that they may be responsible for my increased overnight sleeping. As well as the benefit of the added Vitamin D3. I don't get much sun, so any bit will help. My con is they are huge. Very uncomfortable to swallow.
Spring Valley Omega-3 I have been using omega fish oil supplements for years which my doctor recommended. I chose to try this one because it included the vitamin D3 which I also take daily but in a sperate pill. I like that these are combined. These are 2000 mg of omega -3 and 1000 of vitamin D3. You need to take 2 a day in order to receive the suggested serving size. These have a hint of lemon flavor to control the fishy aftertaste. It is suggested that Omega 3 is good for the eyes, brain, and heart but add in the vitamin D and you add bone health as well. I feel they work just as well as other brands I have tried but I do like the fact that they include the vitamin D as well. It would be nice if they were able to make the soft gels a little smaller.
Other than the fact that these are some of the largest fish oil capsules I've tried they seem to be good. One thing I do like about them is that they are flavored with a natural Lemon flavor to cut down on the fishy taste and I don't burp up a fishy taste later either. I like the fact they have the Vit. D as that I know helps with the absorption of other factors too and I never get enough sun anymore to get the amount of Vit. D that I should. Haven't used them long enough to say what the long term effects will be yet.
