Due to a problem absorbing nutrients, I take a lot of vitamins and supplements, and one I take daily is Omega-3. They're good for your heart, eyes and brain, help keep triglycerides under control, and are considered good for digestive health and general well-being. These are made from fish oil (anchovies, herring, mackerel and/or sardines), and have a lemon flavor added to prevent any after-taste. (I haven't ever tasted either the fish oil or the lemon.) This bottle contains 180 capsules, and at the recommended 2 per day, would last for 90 days. They also contain no Gluten, Yeast, Wheat, Milk or Milk derivatives, Lactose, Sugar, Artificial colors or flavors, so most people with allergies should be able to take them, and there are approximately 30 calories per serving, or 15/capsule, so they're pretty much a win-win dietary addition.
Me and my boyfriend decided that since we are now in our 40's that we need to be more conscious about our health. We both have started eating better and taking supplements. One supplement is this fish oil. I personally cannot eat any type of fish or seafood because I just can't get past the fishy smell. I know fish is really good for you but I just can't eat it, so the best alternative is this! So far it hasn't caused any adverse effects like fish breath or fishy after taste thank goodness! So from a person who cannot stand fish I'd definitely recommend these fish oil supplements
The Spring Valley Omega-3 Fish dietary supplements arrived by Fed Ex. They were packed in a well sealed and sturdy brown cardboard shipping box. Inside the box was plenty of packing material for safe delivery. The soft gel dietary supplements are in a round bottle that is made of hard clear strong and durable plastic. The bottle is smooth in texture and easy to hold onto and doesn't slip out of the hand when opening. Since the color of the bottle is clear this makes it easy to see how many soft gels that are inside the bottle. The bottle has a yellow colored label that has the ingredient list, warnings and other product information written on it. The writing on the label is large enough to read and understand. The bottom of the bottle has an extra crease that is molded so it doesn't slide on a counter surface. It comes with a bright yellow screw on cap which seals tight to keep the soft gels fresh. There was a clear piece of stiff plastic that was shrink wrapped around the cap for product safety. It came with a Mar 2021 expiration date that is located on the label of the bottle. Once the bottle was opened there was no strong or annoying fish smell. The soft gels are about 1" in length. The shape is oval a little bit larger than a jelly bean and almost the same texture. They do not seem to stick together in the bottle. Soft gels can not be split in half. I found a way that is easy for me to swallow large pills I use a small amount of apple sauce or pudding in a spoon and place the pill on top. Since there is no rough edges on the soft gel this helps it slide down the throat. There is no bad side effects or aftertaste. Spring Valley offers a full line of vitamins and dietary supplements for the entire family for all types of ailments. These supplements are a high quality product of Canada.
These Spring Valley fish oil supplements are amazing! The flavor is lemon and it does such an amazing job at disguising any fishy flavors. It also doesn't make your breath smell and does a good job at giving your body the omega-3 it requires. Taking two of these supplements daily can really benefit you overall. After trying them for a couple of days, I was already noticeably more focused. My brain power increased sizably as well! These nutrients are crucial to the average person's everyday lifestyle, so it's good to know that I can trust a brand to make the finest of dietary supplements. There are no artificial flavors or colors in these supplements! I appreciate a product that doesn't try to include unnatural ingredients for health and lifestyle care. Lastly, this product is lactose-free, sugar-free, and excellent overall! I love these high quality supplements that taste amazing and make me feel better, and I highly recommend them.
I am finding that Spring Valley is a good company for their supplements. The first ingredient listed is Fish Oil. This one has a lemon flavor and I find that I don't have the fish oil flavor coming back up on me. The capsules are easy to swallow too. I would definitely recommend this.
I must say, I am impressed with this product, unlike much other Fish Oil supplements this has no fishy smell or aftertaste and with the hint of Lemon Flavor makes it very palatable. The only criticism I have is the size of the Softgel, it is rather large and may cause problems with people who have trouble swallowing large meds. Other than this one drawback, I find it to be an excellent product and most highly recommend it.
The Heart Doctor that my husband has be seeing has been trying for years to get him to take Fish Oil Supplements, he has tried a few times but the side effects he claimed he could not handle. We were sent a bottle of 180 2000mg Omega-3 to try. They have a lemon flavor built into them to help with the bad after taste that all fish oil has. Well my husband tried these out and said they were much easier to swallow than the ones he had tried before, which was surprising because they are quite large. He did have quite a bit of burping after taking these but did not have the terrible after taste, he had some but not where they were untolerable. The bottle claims they help the eyes, heart and brain health. So I think he will stay with them from a while and see how it goes.
Product came fast !! Been taking daily for close to a week and a half .. says lemon flavor on the bottom but doesn't smell or taste like lemon so I don't know if it's actually lemon flavor . I may have to bust one of the capsules open to see . Overall I love taking fish oil , and know the benefits of it so we shall see the longer that I take them if they cause any difference from what I'm use to. Only issue is they are the size of Horse pills. Luckily they are smooth so they aren't too much of a struggle to take but they are huge so make sure you drink plenty of liquids when taking them
I've been trying different Omega 3 supplements and the Spring Valley Maximum Care Omega-3 are a great choice. With 2000 mg per serving, which is 2 softgels daily, you can help support your eyes, brain and heart health which as I've learned, getting older, is very important. It's also important to read the label for dosing and precautions. The softgels are big so if you have trouble swallowing larger pills, these probably won't work for you, but of course, that's your call. You could and maybe should talk to your primary doctor as well. FYI - I measured a pill at 1" long and 1/2 " wide.
I love the benefits of fish oil and I believe that they are a complete lifesaver and should be a part of anyone's vitamin routine. Unfortunately when I started taking them I noticed that I had quite the upset stomach and would even vomit. I'm not quite sure if that was anything to do with my recent surgery and the pain that I was going through, but I have started taking them at night but if I wake up mid-night to use the restroom, I notice that I do have an upset stomach. Instead of taking 2 a day I only take 1 a day until my body gets adjusted to them. I love the large bottle and it will last me a very long time. Also, there is no fishy aftertaste for me and they work well as far as I can tell. I would highly recommend these to anyone, it just seems as though I have quite the sensitive stomach at the moment. The bottle when opened smells Red Lobster fishy -- but it's lemoned flavored so it helps control the taste. Give them a try!!
