I have been taking the Spring Valley prenatal vitamins since 2012 as a fertility treatment's reinforcer. I love them since they do not make me constipated as with previous prenatal vitamins I have taken. So, I am very familiar with the Spring Valley brand. Therefore, when I was sent the Spring Valley Prenatal Multi Plus DHA Soft gels, 250 mg, I was more than willing to try it. The first thing that I noticed is that these pills are similar in composition to the other prenatal ones from the same brand, except for the added content of DHA, which could be the reason for the big difference in size. The difference in size is made obvious by the picture I am including with this review. The Spring Valley Prenatal Multi Plus DHA Soft gels are huge in comparison, and I was sure at first glance that I will have trouble swallowing it. However. That was not the case, it went down as easily as the other ones. They are nicely coated. The Spring Valley Prenatal Multi Plus Soft gels did not make me experience any side effects, and I like them more than the others that I have been taking; so I will keep buying these ones instead.
Most of the ingredients in this prenatal / multivitamin are similar to other brands. It contains all of the main nutrients needed including: folic acid, iron, vitamins: a , c, d, e, b1, b2, b3, b6, b, 12, calcium, and zinc. The 2 big things that stands out are that it includes DHA and is fish free. The other nice thing is that the dosage is only 1 capsule and not 2 as many brands are. It doesn't have a bad smell and doesn't leave significant aftertaste. The pill is a little on the large side. Overall, it's a good choice of a vitamin for women pregnant or trying to conceive .
Prenatal vitamins are an important part of your pregnancy and after and taking your pills are extremely important also and these spring valley brands prenatals softgel make them easy to take everyday, swallow and tolerate on a daily basis they're large but go down without a problem.
Because I'm a woman in reproductive age my doctor recommends that I take prenatal vitamins. I have a difficult time choosing a brand that I like mostly because of the size of the tablets or an aftertaste they leave. I usually go for gummies but they don't always have all the vitamins and minerals that pills do. I was pleasantly surprised when I got the Spring Valley Prenatal Multi+DHA Dietary Supplement Softgels. These vitamins contain all the recommended vitamins and minerals plus 250 mg of DHA omega-3 and 800 mg of folic acid. The pills look huge and it made me question my ability to swallow it when I first saw it but I have to say that the softgel goes down without any problems at all. There is no aftertaste or unpleasant bitterness at the back of your throat. Excellent way of delivering the supplements. I can actually see myself taking these every day.
I recieved this product for my honest rating and review. I recieved spring valley brand once a day prenatal 30 softgels multi +DHA dietary supplement with 250 mg of fish-free DHA omega-3. The DHA omega-3 supports fetal brain and eye development. It's 100% folic acit supports spinal column development. These pills are easy to swallow and I love the the multi/ fish oil combination. The less pills I have to swallow the happier I am. I rate this product 4 out of 5 and recommend you but this if you here to take lots of vitamins.
These are great vitamins! I really like the soft gels versus a hard pill. I like all the good stuff that is in these supplements! Reading about all the vitamins contained and looking up what they do for my body was amazing! Unfortunately, multi vitamins typically make me very nauseous (I have tried taking them with food- it does not matter for me) and this supplement was no different. However, most people are not as sensitive as I am. If you are sensitive, these may still hurt your stomach. The soft gel is rather large (though it probably has to be with all the supplements and vitamins inside), but it was not enough to really bother me.
I really like these vitamins. They're easy to swallow, don't taste bad and don't make me burp or make my stomach hurt. I commonly have that problem with vitamins containing iron but I haven't with these. They still have the stereotypical vitamin smell, but fortunately, don't taste bad when you put them in your mouth. The only drawback is the pills are fairly large although they are still easy to swallow. Overall, a great product.
My doctor recommended to me that I should continue to take Prenatal Vitamins even after pregnancy so I am currently taking these Spring Valley Prenatal Multi +DHA softgels. I like the amount of folic acid which is 800 mcg and iron which is 27mg. I am disappointed though with the amount of calcium because it's only 38mg so I take additional calcium tablets. I take one softgel daily with a large glass of water. The size of the softgel is a little on the larger size so know that these are not mini size.
These prenatal vitamins are a larger vitamin and look like they would be hard to swallow. The outer layer is smooth and helps with swallowing along with a liquid so they won't get stuck to the side of the throat. The softgels have a noticeable smell to them when you open the bottle. The ingredient list of minerals is appropriate for the needs of a pregnant or lactating woman. My doctor felt they were sufficient to meet my needs.
I like that this product contains all the vitamins that I need in one capsule, like folic acid and Vitamin D. Plus it contains zinc, iron and vitamin B, C and A. The capsules are a little big but they are easy to swallow. If you need this vitamins this is a very practical way to take them all together!
