I knew that was low on Iron I have a history of Anemia. This product did what it supposed to do and I feel much better. I trust the Spring Valley brand. I have used them for a long time now.
I purchased this for my Mother who is unable to tolerate most iron supplements and had a severe reaction to the infusion method. She takes 1 pill every other day along with 500 mg of vitamin c. Her doctor recommended this dosage and so far She has not had any adverse reactions to this iron supplement!
I was medically anemic, and at the advice of my doctors, I started taking this as a supplement. With other life and dietary changes, my most recent blood work confirmed I am no longer anemic. This product works in conjunction with other quality of life changes to support a healthy metabolism.
During a routine physical I was found to be somewhat anemic which I have never experienced before. After conducting other tests the doctor could find no reason for my lowered red blood count. He recommended I take an iron supplement. Because iron supplements can cause constipation I decided to try the Spring Valley slow release iron. After a month my hemoglobin count was up and I experienced no problems with constipation. I also had more energy. I am continuing to take the iron supplement and would highly recommend it. My doctor was very satisfied with the improvement.
Take it from an Iron Deficient person this is a great supplement vitamin to take but it's hard to find at Walmart. When I am lucky enough to find a Walmart that has them in stock I rack up on 6 - 8 bottles at a time. I am fearful that I won't be able to find them again. Walmart needs to increase their order for this particular product.
These seem to help me feel better and give more energy because I don't really eat enough foods with iron. I also think my bruising has improved. I take them at night so I'm not sure if they are hard on the stomach but they don't seem to be.
My iron levels have been low my whole life. I've used many different brands, thought I'd try these because of the reviews. Glad I did and the slow release seems to make a difference. I would definitely recommend these
I absolutely love these Iron pills. I have Iron deficiency Anemia so of course my red blood cell count was low, my hemoglobin was low, etc. So I was told by my doctor to start taking Iron pills. I have tried other iron builders and they all made my stomach upset. So I decided to try these slow release pills and they were a HUGE game changer. The key is to get a slow release Iron pill because it is less likely to upset your stomach. Anyways, my hemoglobin was at a 6.6 a month ago, I started consistently taking these iron supplements, and now my hemoglobin is at a 10.5 (11.2 is the "healthy" range). Of course it still isn't in the "normal" range, but it is DEFINITELY making a huge improvement for just being a month. My red blood cell count is also now in the normal range aswell! Pro tip: When taking any sort of iron supplement or pill, always take it with some sort of Vitamin C. The Vitamin C that I use is on Amazon and it's called "It's Just! Vitamin C Powder". I take these Iron supplements, and then afterwards mix in the Vitamin C powder with water, and drink it so that the iron properly absorbs. The taste is a bit sour, but this has definitely helped me ALOT.
I haven't tried a lot of other slow-release iron brands, so cannot compare. However, this definitely does what I need it to! I have slight anemia and within a few hours of taking this iron supplement my energy levels go up. It's definitely a life saver. I try to get my iron from food as much as I can, but it just never seems to be enough between pregnancy and breastfeeding. Very grateful for these and love the price!
Was charged for two bottles of iron and only got one. I'd rather have gotten none instead of getting something for the same price of one of the bottles for what I had ordered.
