We live in a very very very windy area and where our pool is located is like a wind tunnel. I put each of these legs in a flower pot filled with gravel and it kept it in place despite the wind. The cover also stayed attached with none of them ripping. I put this together by myself, but it would have been much easier with another person. The rails at the top bent a bit where they are attached to the posts, from the legs being held stationary and the wind blowing it, but we are putting it up again this year and I'm sure will have another summer out of it.
Just got it up this last weekend--couldn't be happier. Very stylish, love the color, and fairly easy to put up.
Good quality materials, takes a bit more time to set up than your cheaper, quick-to-erect-disassemble types, but won't fill up with water and collapse or blow down in a storm! The water runs off just like off a turtle's back. Loved the color choices, too! Perfect for where we are in Portland, where we get a lot of rain this time of year!
It really is a very nice gazebo. The orange was on sale so I went with that color and it turned out to be a beautiful color. The rectangular shape not only looks nice but fits well were I needed to put it. The high dome is very good looking and makes it feel very roomy.
Love this gazebo not sure if
We constructed this and it was very cute and looked great for the price point, but after only 2 weeks, a storm blew in and totally lifted this off the ground and destroyed it. My advice to anyone who purchases this- buy gazebo sandbags or bolt it down if you can and if you know of a bad storm coming, definitely take the time to take down the canopy, which is a bit tedious. The dome shape, while appealing, is like a giant kite and is not at all windproof. It lifted off of our patio, tumbled over, then wound up partially in our pool. Nothing else on our patio was disturbed except for this, but these were gnarly winds and we really should have known better than to leave the canopy up. I really appreciate hayneedle customer service allowing us to get a new one and could not figure out how to change my previous review, so I'm writing this second one to let people know that hayneedle customer service cares.
Looks great and the wife and kids really like it. Need two people to put together. Did it by myself and took an hour and a half. Step 3 of directions are not very clear. The color is great
But it's an odd shape and really catches the wind. It does come with ground stakes but they don't look very reliable if winds got too strong. We used it on our patio and had to purchase heavy duty sandbags for the legs so it stays put. I really wish they had used a dark coloured Velcro for the canopy instead of white so it would have blended into the poles better instead of white. Overall its working for us but I don't know if I'd buy another.
So this bent pretty easy putting together. I lived with it as it was attractive once together. A couple days later, I came home to it missing. I was stumped as I have 50 lbs sand bags on each leg and they were all on the deck. I honestly thought someone just came and took it. I looked on my ADT camera and saw it take air. Went back outside and it was on the roof. Now it was totally bent and unusable. Hmmm.. No would not recommend at all.
I was extactic to receive this. It looked so cute put together. My family loved it. We haven't even had it two weeks and one thunderstorm storm destroyed it. It lifted off the ground and the metal ripped in 3 places. It's destroyed. It's partially in our pool. We are lucky it didn't go through our windows. We are so sad... we now have a huge mess to clean up and basically threw away a bunch of money on this. Also wasted a lot of time and effort to put the thing together. Assembly wouldn't have been easy without 3 people. I haven't yet contacted customer service, but I imagine they aren't going to do anything. Buy with caution- the dome shape is perfect for a gust of wind to lift off. Pretty sure even sandbags wouldn't have saved this from happening and to take down the actual canopy every storm would be very tedious. Putting it up was not easy- It has dozens of Velcro loops to fasten the canopy and you'll need a step ladder to do it. If you don't have a way to bolt this thing down, I don't recommend. Extremely unhappy.
