We treat every gas can I get filled with STA-BIL. All of my equipment--lawnmower, lawn tractor, snowblower, air compressor--starts every time. There is no need to drain the gas out of your equipment at the end of the season if you use this regularly. I have been using it for years and have never had a problem. I highly recommend it.
This is a must have for anyone with a gas engine. Use it in my motorhome during the winter months also my generator boat and my one car. Excellent if you plan on not using the engines keeps gas fresh so no worries about it going bad. Sta bil has been around for a very long time and I use it all the time with no complaints or problems. Highly recommend.
Not just for your lawn mower! I have an 89 Mustang 5.0 I am restoring and I only drive it occasionally. I don't want the gas going bad so I add this to the tank. It really helps, especially with ethanol-based fuel. It's not an issue if my tank doesn't get emptied after several months because the stabilizer keeps it fresh. Also, the ethanol based fuels tend to rust out your fuel lines. I had a friend with a 1963 Lincoln Continental that he inherited from his grand-dad. The car sat for about 14 months before he was able to take ownership. By then the tank and many of the hard fuel lines were thoroughly rusted and leaking. If grand-dad had used Stabil then my buddy would have saved two thousand bucks on those repairs.
I always use this product in my gas cans. My engines always start without issues which I appreciate. Works even over wintering gas in tanks and cans. Dependable and I won't stop using it.
I have been using Sta-bil fuel stabilizer in my riding lawnmower gas cans for several years now. Just under two ounces added to a five-gallon can keeps fuel fresh for months. I am a real believer. A 32-ounce container provides a couple years ' worth of protection at a reasonable price.
I have a generator and a older car that I don't use very often, so I use this product to keep the fuel from breaking down. Seems to work as advertised. They both start whenever I think about it.
It's a wonderful looking bottle but doesn't walk itself out to the mower, uncap itself, measure itself out, pour itself into the mower, recap itself and stow itself away for the season. Otherwise, it's a perfect buy! Seriously though, it's a wonderful product but my hubby slipped and broke his hip. So, our priorities got a bit moved from the original idea before the ice storm hit.
This is a good product however, it often arrives leaking in the shipping box. If packed with other items, they become contaminated with the STA-Bil. Insuring the top caps are tight before shipping/packing should prevent this problem. See photo.
Management, I received my shipment today Sunday, December 6, 2024. All these items were shipped together. Food items along with chemicals. From now on, please ship chemical items separate from food items.
I honestly couldn't tell anyone that this product is helping. I know what the adds say, and what is written in print. But to actually prove it's doing what it says it will do, I can't tell you it works. Now what I do know, is the price has increased because of demand. Way too much for a can of additive. Almost “snake oil” gimmick.
