Assembly was very easy. I use it in my living room but when we have company it is easy to move to another room. I enjoy it alot more than a treadmill.
Bike is comfortable and sturdy, nice comfy seat !! Enjoy the readout of distance, calories burn't etc. Bike flows along nicely ! Already recommended it to a friend !
I am a 72-year-old woman. I was able to assemble this bike without assistance in about 2 hours. The instructions were excellent; the nuts, bolts, screws etc. were neatly arranged and numbered on a sealed card. Tools were included; the only additional tool I used was locking pliers. Even the batteries for the monitor were included. I would add two bits of assembly advice: 1: Do NOT remove the strap from the SPEED PICKUP WIRE (23) until you are ready to plug the wire into the MONITOR (47). 2: Be sure to lubricate the handlebars with liquid soap before sliding the FOAM GRIPS onto them.
What can I say that hasn't been said already? Took about two hours to assemble, but I took my time and made sure it was put together correctly. Instructions are pretty clear, but you WILL waste time hunting for parts that are in unusual places. Once I had it put together I tried my first ride. Pedal action is smooth, but I do hear an occasional thumping sound when pedaling. ( no the linkages from the pedals to the handle bars were not put on backwards ) Right now I'm only riding about 1 1/2 miles every other day. About 15 minutes of moderate pedaling. So far I'm very pleased with the bike, but because of some of the negative reviews, I made sure to buy the extended warranty ( 3 years ).
I recently purchased this bike a month ago. First thing was I thought I was missing some screws/bolts when actually they were already attached to the parts. Apparently Customer Service wasn't aware of this because they sent out new parts. I started putting it together with what I had and that's where I found that all items were indeed in box. Didn't take long to put it together for a single woman. I began using the bike and felt the results in my arms, legs, shoulders and mid area. It definitely gives you a full workout. I started out only being able to stay on for 8 minutes. I just made it to 15 minutes. Worth the money to me.
I have purchased two UX2 Air Bikes because I exercise in two places. It is a small pain to assemble. A few hours, patience, and a trip to the hardware store for a replacement nut or bolt are required. I use it for one-half hour every day. It performs as well as the Schwinn Airdyne which I used at the gym. I am six feet tall and one-hundred eighty pounds. A much bigger user might press its capacity.
I purchased a Stamina exercise bike a few years ago and the seat was so hard that I couldn't ride it no more than 10 minutes at a time, so I was skeptical about getting another one. I decided to go ahead and try the newer version and I am very pleased. The seat is much more comfortable and the bicycle is very compact, not big and bulky, so it can be stored easily without taking up a lot of space. It has a tension control so I can adjust my workout according to how I'm feeling. The time, distance and calorie counter takes a bit getting use to but it was easy to put together and a great bike for the price I paid.
Only issue is my husband had to put a spacer to tighten the arms because the tension on the bike was too tight. This should have been done at the factory as you do not assembly this part it is already pre-assembled
I was looking for a value but this isn't it. I have had it for 13 months and the tension strap has just broken for the second time. The first time was just 4 months after I got it and the company informed me this was the last time they would replace it! The strap is made of cloth and no matter how hard I tried to keep it from the air wheel, it kept riding back to it and fraying the strap which throws lint all over the place until it finally shreds. It is very difficult to adjust the tension internally too-you have to completely take the bike apart- and when I did, I disconnected the monitor wire because there was no warning about this and the wire could not be reconnected so I had no monitor from the beginning and the company said this was my fault and wouldn't replace it. I decided I would use it until it broke again and will never buy from this company again! Spend the extra few dollars for another model and brand and save yourself alot of headache!
It took my husband a long time to assemble this product, and right after completing it the chain would not stay on. Every time he tried to pedal the chain came right off. I like the style of the exercise bike and its durability, but the company needs to provide information for troubleshooting chains. My husband did call the 1-800 number in the instruction booklet and the representative stated that their was nothing she could do but suggested that he return it back to Wal-Mart. I didn't quite understand because I knew it was a brand new product. Oh well, I was very disappointed, but that does not mean our search stops here! We are looking at some other exercise bikes at Wal-mart on-line and will try them. Wal-mart has excellent services and I commend them for an outstanding job in taking care of their customers needs and it is still my number#1 store for shopping. :)
