I RECENTLY PURCHASE THIS EXERCISE BIKE AND IT IS SO QUIET YOU CAN USE IT AND WATCH TV AT THE SAME TIME. IT IS EASY TO ASSEMBLE AND FOR THE PRICE IT IS OF EXCELLENT QUALITY. FOR US "OLD FOLK" IT IS GREAT AS IT IS DANGEROUS TO WALK ON THE ROADS ANYMORE.
I shopped around online and in stores and found this machine to be of superior quality to anything else I could find. The price was as low as others I did not feel were as good. Easy to assemble but be sure to read the instructions. They say that some of the screws ETC might already be attached. The bolts in the seat, seat back and the monitor are in those pieces.
received bike recently and have progressed from struggling at five minutes to easy going at 20 minutes.Features are all easy to select and understand. It is comfortable to use.
For the money, you can't beat this little bike. It was very easy to assemble, it is well built and simple to operate. A lot of machines (exercise bikes, treadmills, etc.) try to use as selling points a of of fancy computerized work-out routines. I have found that if you are really serious about using the machine for exercise, such things are rarely used and in fact just get in the way of being able to hop on the machine and just go. You don't have to worry about that here. The only draw back, which I saw mentioned by others in their reviews before I made my purchase, is that the seat has to be adjusted manually. This can be bit of a pain if you have have multiple users. But I have found that it is only a small annoyance compared with the overall duarability of the machine.
Simple to put together and comfortable to use. I have a sore knee so I use less tension right now but once that's healed I will work my way up. This is a great bike for novice users such as myself. Very happy with my purchase.
I bought this about a month ago to help with recovery from a knee injury. The package arrived with considerable exterior damage but there was no damage to any of the pieces - a testament to their packaging. The assembly of the bike was straightforward and it seems to be of good quality construction (only a few years of use will determine that). Initially I had the same problem that others had in that my heels kept hitting the floor as I pedaled. I moved my feet so that the pedals were in the middle of my feet and then found that I was stretching too far. Once I adjusted the seat a notch closer everything worked as it should. I am 5'11" and use the fourth notch (there are 7) and my wife is 4'11" and uses the first notch with no problem. There are 6 programs and 8 tension settings so there is plenty of room to increase difficulty as the leg muscles strengthen. The console interface is easy to use and well thought out. The unit is very quiet so you can watch TV at normal volumes while cycling. The only thing I would like to change is for the seat to be adjustable - there is a large gap between it and the backrest. I consider this to be a minor irritation. Overall this is a good machine and is excellent value at the price point.
Assembly was easy for one person (70-yr-old female). As stated in many other reviews the seat back is about 3"/4" too far back for the seat to be comfortable so I added a 3.5" shim between the bracket and back of the seat (minus one point). I am 5'6" with a 32" inseam and, at the furthest adjustment, the pedals are just right for me. The computer shows time elapsed, mph, etc., but does not register my heart rate which is the most important factor for an aerobic workout (minus one point). Although it shows the program number selected, the individual programs do not work (minus one point). However, the tension dial works and I can regulate the amount of resistance myself. I do like the lower computer setup so with the unit placed in a corner, the overall silhouette does not interfere with the open feel of the room (plus one point). With a redesign of the seat and a working computer this item could be a 5-star product.
I picked this as a gift from my company and thought it would be a good exercise bike. It is very quiet, which is great. My old bike trainer was very loud and this is very quite. The seat, backrest and pedal positions seem awkward. I have had to put a towel behind my lower back to get the right angle so that I don't strain my back. My have to build a custom bracket to alter the seat or backrest angle.
Bought this fella about a month ago. Very pleased with the mechanical function of the unit. Don't get this if you are a "computer" guru expecting magnificent health data. ...matter of fact, take a hacksaw and cut off the stupid riser for the "computer", get an egg timer, and do your own calculations. The computer is a joke. However, I am very pleased with the mechanical function, adjustability, and comfort of the basic bike. I find myself sitting in front of the tv each evening watching an old episode of Andy Griffith on Netflix... This gives me a 30 minute ride, i mechanically increase the resistance for the final 10 minutes, and i am perfectly satisfied. ...the computer should NOT be a factor in your consideration. Slightly overpriced, but have absolutely no complaints with the mechanical function. EASY to assemble, quality is better than i expected coming from china.
This bike is mostly great. The price, size (nice & compact enough to be not-so-obtrusive in the room, and ease of boarding & exiting are wonderful, and it's quiet. It's really a great activity to do while watching TV, because it IS whisper quiet. Negatives: Pulse monitor never worked properly, and after some 12 year olds were here using it as a seat to play video games, the pedals bent. They were just resting their feet on the pedals, but it rendered the bike unusable (very lopsided pedaling). Now, I was going to blame the kids, and it was great until then, but I would have expected it to be sturdier. I was watching them the whole time, and know that nothing else happened. I would have also preferred a cushier seat that didn't aggravate my hips (that already hurt after my office job). But it would have earned a 5-star rating were it not for the pedal issue. So if you remember not to rest your feet on the pedals & never allow anyone to use it other than for pedaling, you may get lots of use out of it, because I would have just replaced the seat or gotten a gel cushion had the pedals not bent so badly. The resistance dial & ease of use otherwise is great.
