We service several rental units and need a variety of tool boxes to care for those properties. Trying to have one box with a bit of everything usually means we’re missing the one item we really need, so my husband and I have outfitted specific boxes for electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc. I prefer this Fatmax to a metal toolbox because it is less likely to scratch tile and counter surfaces when working in a unit. I like the comfort grip of the handle. The ruled v-groove in the lid makes it easy to measure and hold items like trim and piping in place for cutting. The metal latches and waterproof seal are nice features. The toolbox has good balance because when the lid is open the whole box does not topple over. The top tray is designed to be placed to either right or left sides of the box, and it’s nice to have the choice. This toolbox will replace an old, metal electrical toolbox that is beat. Overall the box is quite sturdy and we’re looking forward to using it for a long time. There are elements that show designers had users in mind in terms of usability and comfort. This is a great toolbox. It is very well constructed with a tray inside half the length of the toolbox. It has metal clamps that close securely. I highly recommend!
I’m blown away by the quality of this box. Durable plastic, metal clips, and a waterproof seal. Not to mention the expanded room on the inside. Great box for around the house or to leave in the truck in case of emergencies. The one thing that it is missing is a lock port. I absolutely love the quality of this tool box. It's very durable and made very well. The latches tightly secure the top without any worry of it coming undone when you pick it up. I find the handle is very easy to grab and has a grip on it which helps it from slipping out of your hands. I also love how much room Is in the tool box it's self. The extra shelf is awesome as well and is made to be very strong. The box is light weight but I can tell it is made very well. This box you won't have to worry about cracking it as it's pretty thick. This is a very nice tool box. Love how it is water proof to protect my tools can hold up to 65lbs in tools from what it says. I like the tray and it cubby holes. And the ruler on the top is awesome and handy. This toolbox is just how I hoped it would be. The lockup of the metal latches is secure and solid. I like that there is a rubber seal inside to keep water and dirt out. I use this box to keep my cleaning supplies and range gear for my firearms organized. When i go shoot, this box goes with me... When i need to clean and maintain my firearms and knives and the like, i grab this box. I also keep hearing and eye protection, a heavy duty stapler and extra staples for mounting targets to my stands, a multi tool a good hand held light, spare batteries a Spyderco Tenacious and a first aid kit with basic stuff and a gunshot trauma kit inside. Everything fits perfect with plenty of room left over. The box is very solid and robust. Fast shipping, and packaged well too. I would order from Walmart.com again without a second thought. The Stanley brand seems to be very well made.
This is absolutely the best Tool box that I have ever owned. It's lightweight, heavy duty, very spacious, and waterproof. I love my new Stanley tools box I have left it out in the rain all day and when I opened it everything was dry, I am impressed I have dropped it, banged it in the back of the truck and it's still like new. I love the muted color scheme of the Fatmax toolbox. I noticed that it is insulated withfoam and waterproof as well. This means my items with be safe from cold, water and rust! This toolbox is made of high quality , thick plastic with a very sturdy handle; something extremely valuable to me as I often carry my tools around the junkyard. I don't have to worry about this box popping open and all my tools falling out. I am very happy with the steel clips used to close this box; they are sturdy and I know they won't open on their own or break. The Fatmax can hold a lot of items also, there is so much space! Don't waste your money on just any tool box.....get this rugged,tough,durable and almost water-proof honey of a box.....and it's only $20.00....now is that not a bargain in modern times!!!! I own several of these boxes and will never consider any other.....EVER.....
I was looking for a "storage box" for my ATV while hunting. It has 2 large clasps that are hard to close, and make a loud snap to seal. I'm sure this is how they get it "waterproof." But, for my use needing to be as silent as possible, it would not work. WALMART WAS GREAT... they took it back no questions asked. I bought a similar box in size, also built by Stanley for just $14.99! It may not be totally waterproof, but it will do the job. I should add if your looking for a "tool box" that may get left out in the rain, or used on jobs where it may get wet... this "FatMax 23" IS THE BOX you want! It does seal really well.
