Having seen the 1* review I felt compelled to give another view on this vice. It is an excellent wee vice and totally delivers well beyond its weight. I'm generally a pretty critical person, no difference here, but on that basis would absolutely recommend this vise to anyone that is looking for a desktop vice / lightweight worktop vice.
This is a really great vise for light to medium duty applications. It's not the vice to use if you need to beat on something with heavy hammer. Your work can be held at any angle. Soft inserts are included to protect your table or workbench. The soft jaw inserts, also included, will protect fragile items and threads.

Great swivel vise for gun smithing and other objects you need to have at different angles. Small enough for smaller objects yet big enough to handle all others.

This product can attach to any object that has an edge and flat surfaces. The ball joint moves to any angle between 35 degrees from the vertical. The ball joint has a separate clamp to hold it in place. This multi-angle vise is a good tool for hobbyists, autoshops and do-it-yourselfers. I strongly reccomend this product.
This is an excellent small vise that you can clamp anywhere. Seems much better built than most and should hold up well. For some reason it can be hard to find but most of the others that are this size are made of cheap cast iron that seems to break easily, this one looks very sturdy.

The purpose of a Vice is to hold items still; this one fails at that if it has the same defect as mine. The shank connected to the ball has a chamfered and tapered head. That is supposed to mate into the casting of the static Vice jaw. In mine the casting was off, so the shank can move, left to right. That allows the Vice to wrack, when you are working on a held item. I grew up using Stanley tools and am most disappointed.
