Used this in conjunction with a reciprocating saw (with proper tool) to remove grout from about 1000 square feet of tile flooring. It picked up over 100 pounds of super fine dust without a single puff escaping from the exhaust. I used the internal collection bag as well as the canister filter. It is not a heavy duty vac. Hose is the same size as a room vaccum, but when you need to pick up wet or dry nasties around the house this will do it without issue. The only complaint I have is the clips that secure the head to the canister are a bit difficult to set. Other than that it's great.
This size is so strong I swear it lifted the carpet up, but it did a great job. I did not like the time it took to deliver it to the store, if they had offered shipping to my house I would of paid it, it is worth the cost. Great item.
No more suction than 2.5 hp shop vac. Lid clamps flimsy and weak.
Product turned out to be cheaply made. For ex: clamps holding filter to motor housing were flimsy plastic which felt like they would break easily. Very small diameter hose. No bottom drain. Small tools. Doesn't compare favorably to a SHOP-VAC at around the same price. I returned the Stanley and got the Shop-Vac locally. Very satisfied with it.
The vac worked for 5 minutes and then stopped and will not turn on. I need to return it but I do not have the box.
