This product really measures up.
Good old Stanley quality. Probably the last one I'll ever need to purchase. Thanks!
As advertised. High quality.
A very good product. Has the right width of the tape, and a solid build quality. I like the design, much better than the classic type.
I first bought a lever lock tape measure 2-3 yrs ago and loved the automatic locking, press to release approach that made way more sense to me. I then found packages of three, and got one for each of my brothers and myself. After about 1 yr of light use the 30' tape measure stopped locking the tape, it would simply slide (slowly) back in. In examining the tape measure I realized that the hard rubber lever was too big, and was bumping up against the yellow frame, preventing the lever from adequately pinching the tape. I used an exacto blade to shave off ~1mm from the rubber lever, and the tape measure works perfectly again! I am very satisfied with this tape measure and highly recommend it.
Love how it locks when measuring. No more fighting to measure a longer area with trying to keep ruler from rewinding or flipping or twisting. Stays in place until release button on bottom is pressed. Seems to be holding up well so far.
This is my all-time favorite measuring tape. I have at least 6 of these, if not more. I have them at home, multiple shops, and at work. The Leverlock is the best way for retracting the tape, and I really like way it works. The case is nice and robust, and I've dropped it from elevated platforms with no issues. When I do wear them out, which is typically the tape itself getting nicks and dings from heavy use, I replace it with another one.
quality made and does the job
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this tape for at least 15 years. Mine is a green high visability model and that is why I still have it, it is hard to lose because it is easy to find. I can extend it 80 inches before it collapses. It's accurate and convienient. I like the size of the tape, it's easily visable graduations and large enough to read without issues as a monocular 60 year old.
Worked great until it slipped off a board measuring 8 ft. Slipped off the board, bent around 7 ft, upon further inspection I saw that it was cracked. I'm sure if I keep using it, itll eventually break at that point making it completely useless. Funny thing g is, I tried finding an exact replacement and can't find the 30ft write on lever locks anymore. Only can find the 25 ft ones or less. Little disappointed that I only got about a months use out of it, was expecting a couple years use out of this for something I thought was top quality. Didnt even get the blade dirty.....
