I grew up watching Star Trek as a kid. I did not watch this series when it was running. I regret that I did not. You will feel the same way when you buy and watch. Hopefully they will get a go at making a motion picture. I won't ruin the last episode, but it was left open and it ticked me off!! So buy this product, perhaps if enough of us do,they will get a motion picture deal to continue the last episode!!!
It's TOO BAD that this show was cancelled prematurely.I did not watch all of the episodes as they originally aired,so I had to get them on DVD,and "catch up".Let me say that after watching the entire series in the boxed set,this show was very well done, with great stories and special effects. If you are a "Star Trek" fan as I am,this series is a "must-have".Now that the price has come down SO much,it's definately worth having.Buy it now,you won't be disappointed!!
It came on time and packaging looked good . First DVD was so scratched up it would not play so we will have to take them all back . Took them back today to our local Wal-mart with no problems . We will try ordering one more time and see if all the sets are bad .
When I ordered this series, it was the last of the star trek franchise series' I did not yet own. I recieved it in a box with two other items, which is no big deal, except the box came from 'WalMart Returns' in Bentonville, and after opening the unpropperly folded/taped box, I found what was actually returned: Season 2 of the Enterprise series. The series looked normal for a season set upon first inspection, but as I unwrapped he package, I found that the four seasons had been strapped together, and then unwrapping the individual seasons, the cases were all sealed, but season 2 had been re-sealed in plastic; and poorly done. Each season, except season 2, also had the disks inside the season case sealed in plastic. This is how I know Season 2 was re-sealed after it left the factory: there was no plastic seal around the disks for Season 2. With all the clues, I can only deduce that WalMart re-sealed the Season 2 set improperly, pulled all 4 seasons together into a set, and re-sealed the set as if it arrived in their warehouse like that. It is a good thing I plan on watching these disks and not placing them in a collection as an 'unopened set'. When you buy something, you expect that it is new, not pre-owned. And you definately do NOT expect to get something from a 'RETURNS' department! If I had known it would arrive in pre-opened condition, I would have bought the seasons seperately.
