Star Trek: The Next Generation Episode 69: Hollow Pursuits

Geordi (LeVar Burton) complains to Picard (Patrick Stewart) about Lt. Barclay (Dwight Schultz), a painfully shy and irresponsible engineer. As Picard urges Geordi to find a way to motivate Barclay, Barclay retreats to the holodeck. Casting crew members in supporting roles, he acts out his wildest fantasies, including a romance with Troi (Marina Sirtis). As Geordi, Troi and Riker (Jonathan Frakes) go to confront Barclay in the holodeck, the Enterprise is jolted by a sudden increase in warp speed. Geordi needs Barclay's help to diagnose the problem before the rapidly accelerating starship self-destructs. Can Geordi pull Barclay out of his fantasy world in time to save the Enterprise?.
