I bought this for my daughter in law for Christmas and she absolutely loved it. She enjoys french cooking and this is perfect for her many recipes. It cooks evenly while keeping the food moist and flavorful. I highly recommend it.
It's as beautiful, on display atop my stovetop, as it is working away, and cleans like a breeze!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is built to last a lifetime. It's durable and also beautiful sitting on the stove. I love the craftsmanship and attention to detail. It performs well especially with the heavy bottom. I will have this for lifetimes!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a very generous gift and love it! The color is beautiful, and the enamel looks nice and shiny. The lid—and the cocotte itself— is solid, well-made, and heavy and it seals in moisture very well. The only thing is that the interior of the cocotte and the lid are a matte enamel that rubs against each other when using. My range stove racks are not too kind to the enamel bottom, so be careful when moving your cocotte on the stove top. Try to lift and then turn, instead of drag or spin. Also warning for the interior of the lid: careful where you rest it. I have started keeping towels on the countertop or my wooden cutting board, so it does not get scratched either. The stove racks are again notorious for rubbing away at the matte interior. I might look into getting that fancy lid holder after all!
Beautiful pot! I've only had a chance to use it a couple times, but it is great. Such even heat, tight fitting lid. Perfect braises. Great for soups, pot roast. Surprisingly not too heavy for me to lift, which was a concern.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the design, black interior and the round rivets on lid for even moisture!!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) love how it bakes my bread. and cooks my food without sticking to the bottom.
I've had my Cocotte for a little over two weeks now. Thus far I've baked bread and made two Indian curry dishes. It cleans up like a dream and the exterior is gorgeous. I did notice that there was a small white spot on the side where it seems as though the enamel wasn't completely colored. I also noticed that on the inside there were three small spots that weren't covered by the black enamel coating. There is no cracking or chipping to be found but for the price point, I do expect quality control to be a bit better.
This is the second white cocotte from Staub I've purchased that was missing the white coating on the handles. My friend also had the same issue. I returned. Makes me question the quality checks.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Bought this product in store. It makes beautiful stew and sourdough bread. However, the interior enamel chipped within 2 years.
