"Bob 1" did an awesome job slowing down traffic, but he was thrown over the fence multiple times, run over, and eventually "Bob Napped" with no ransom request! So our new "Bob 2" is on duty here in Sausalito in front of my driveway, and we installed a Tile PPS in case he is kidnapped. We glued it under the visor on his cap!
Perfect for our needs! We've received a lot of positive comments from drivers and neighbours concerning the visual impact this has had! Also heavy enough for when it's windy. We are thinking of getting a second one
I normally do not shop at Walmart. My car always gets hit, and the store is usually a complete mess. I saw online this item: Step2 Kid alert and it was 5 dollars cheaper than a competitor. I also saw there was free shipping to the store. So I ordered the item. It came in 4 days sooner than originally promised which was a plus. The online pick-up was in the back of the store. The young lady behind the counter was pleasant and helpful and I was in and out of the store in 7 minutes. The item was is perfect order and it was exactly what I wanted. Thank you
Best price found from walmart compared to other retailers
I purchased two of these online and one had a crack in the base. Rather than waste time energy and money to ship it back to the retailer who should most likely scrap it I reached out to step2 directly and they shipped a replacement base. Kudos for going the route of less waste.
Love this safety product for our kids. Light enough that they can put it out in the street themselves. It comes with a hole to add sand and weigh it down but if you don't, it does blow over easily in the wind. Easy to put together. And it works well, traffic easily sees it and vehicles notice it early enough to slow down while passing our house. 4/5 because it doesn't come with sand to fill, so it's an extra purchase we need to make.
I think for the price of this item it could have been made easier to put the sand in for stability and close it properly, and to put the stability stand on. As a senior with disability I had to have a neighbor installation the stand, and could not manage the sand cap.
This comes in just two pieces, but putting them together was almost impossible. It is two plastic pieces that snap together, but they are so tight that it required some axle grease and a great amount of force from my neighbor after my husband and I both couldn't get it together. Once it is together it is great.
For something that should be simple to use, it is very difficult to even get it to be functional. Not only is it impossible to fit the body into the base, but the lid to keep the water in the base doesn't even fit into the opening. Sad that we haven't even been able to use it.
