I purchased this for my 18 mo. old grandson who lives in another state. The chairs are small enough that he can climb into them, but large enough that he will be able to use the set for several years. His mom says it is exactly as described online. It has no sharp edges, cleans easily, and she thinks it will be very durable.
We got this table for our 2 and 4 year olds. It is great. There is plenty of table for both of them to do puzzles or eat a meal. The chairs are sturdy enough for adults to sit on them. The chair is a little high for my 2 year olds, so she needs a little help getting on and off as her feet do not touch yet - but that is OK because this table will last them for many years. It was easy to put together too. You basically just secure the legs and attach a small piece for the drawer. BTW - they think the drawer is pretty cool. We store napkins in it in case thier face gets messy. By adding any extra chair or two - you could even have 3 or 4 kids sit for snack.
The product is sturdy and fits in decently with the family room decor. My son is 14 months old and he sits there and looks at his books and TV. The only thing is that right now the chair is a little high for him so he will have to grow in to it because he usually falls when he tries to get off of it.
We purchased this table for our 4 year old daughter who suffers from spastic cerebral palsy. She was unable to sit in most chairs, but these chairs contour to her shape, allowing her to finally sit without assistance. I would recommend this table and chair set to anyone - but especially to those with special needs children!! It is also a very durable set that is appealing to the eye at the same time.
I have a 22 month old and a 4 yr old. This table is perfect! It is very sturdy and the perfect size for a average size 22 month old and a very tall 4 yr old. My husband filled the chairs with water and they have not tipped over once, which was a complaint by other people. We love it and so do out daughters!!
We bought this table and chairs for our grandson for christmas. It is just the right size and will fit perfectly in his home. He loves the drawer and the chairs are light enough for him to carry around to different places. The chairs are sturdy enough for adults to sit on also, so that they can join in on activities at the table. Would highly recommend.
We had picked this set of table and chairs for my son who just turned two. We chose it b/c he has the matching kitchen set and has loved it for the past year. Step 2 products are nice and sturdy, so of course it's safe. I like the fact that it it's plastic, so I can wipe down the table with food/crafts. The chairs are a little high for my son, but he's also short. He can climb up to get in them without falling over, but he is a good climber. The chairs are really strong and can support an adult's weight up to 200lb (if you can get your bottom to fit on it)! The set is nice also because it can blend into an adult room and not stand out. This is definitely a great product for the price (thanks Mom)!
My daughter received this table & chairs set for her birthday. She loves feeling like a big girl when sitting at it to eat, which she did a lot at first but now that we have had it a few months that has worn off and she doesn't like sitting at it to eat much anymore so we moved in into my Day Care classroom. The 2 & above group can easily use this table as they are tall enough and have better balance than those of younger ages. I have a 16 month old and she cannot get into these chairs at all, they are very high for her. They are also tipped over very easily, but not becasue they are light weight. I actually think they are very heavy, well made chairs compared to most sets I have had, they just do not have a wide base. The table has a large area, enough for 2 children to work on art projects with plenty of space. It is easily cleaned and holds up well. I do recommed this to anyone looking for a table & chairs set for 2 & up, it's very high quality.
My daughter loves her new table. It is light weight and very easy for her to move around. I would either put sand or water in it. I did and it wasn't so easy for her to move. It is a really good table for doing crafts and clean up is easy. The only problem I had with it was the holes did not line up but it was easy to make my own holes! If you are thinking about this table, I would get it!
Overall, it works great for the price. It isn't too sturdy, but what is with a 4 and 3 year old? It matches their play kitchen great. It was very helpful for pumpkin carving! Although I would not reccomend using the site to store shipping, it was a nightmare.
