This toybox lives up to the high expectations I have come to have for Step 2 products. While we've only had it for a few weeks already my almost two year old daughter has proven it's durability. She climbs up the front of it any chance she gets and it doesn't tip or come apart. I love the one-piece construction (except for the door of course), and the bookshelf and display shelf are perfect for all her little books and puzzles. The only bad thing I have found is due to it's placement in her room. It is currently next to her crib and when I go in to get her up in the morning she has half her books in bed with her. The pink lid is a perfect little girly touch without going over the top. I would not recommend putting anything you don't want your kids getting to on the shelves as they are kid height, and if yours is as active as mine she will find a way of getting to it.
I bought this for my daughter. I wanted a toy box with a shelf for her books. It was a perfect size to put in her closet and it had plenty of room for her toys. She is able to reach for the books herself. The only bad thing is that she also can take them all off and make a mess. All in all...I think it's a great toy box and very affordable.
I brought this for my 1 year old granddaughter because of the built in book shelf and sturdiness.
This toybox has by far exceeded my expectations! I was surprised at how roomy it is. The assembly was very minimal and extremely easy. Not too mention how safe the product is. Many toy boxes feature heavy lids that can fall on a small child however this lid is light and plastic plus it slides back into the box when opened which prevents accidents. I couldn't ask for a better toy box!
My daughter is 2 years old and has tons of books. This bookshelf and toy box makes it easy to have all her favorite books where she can reach them and all her favorite toys in a organized place.
I bought this for my twins and it has worked great. Very easy to put together, sturdy and holds a lot. . Including them when they climb in! The only thing I would change is the lid, it isnt connected. I would have preferred it to have a hinge.

I bought this Storage Chest for my granddaughter's 1st birthday. The Step2 Storage Chest is perfect for a one year old. She can actually reach inside and get her toys herself. Parents were very pleased!
We had a different version of a Step 2 toybox, and when we found out we were having a daughter, we decided to get another one (this color). The bin is spacious, and the bookshelf holds more books than you would think. A nice fit in any nursery.
