My 22 month old daughter loves her new sandbox. It is a generous size & holds alot of sand. The little table & bench are a great addition to the already adorable set-up. It is very sturdy except for the lid, but like others said, nothing a bungee strap can't fix. The umbrella keeps the table/bench and about 1/2 of the sandbox shaded. I had read all of the reviews before purchasing this sandbox and decided it was worth the money. We have had the sandbox for over 2 weeks now & have not had any problems with the umbrella flying off or bugs in the sand. Maybe those problems will arise down the road, but overall, I am 100% pleased with the purchase.
I bought this sandbox/table for my granddaughtersand they love it. Easy assembly; but very large to transport--bring a truck!
This is a pretty cool setup. It has everything in one. Super easy to put together! I was pleasantly suprised to find out the umbrella was bigger than I had expected! Also, with it (the umbrella) being removable, you can take it to the beach with you (or, wherever!) Its a good size. The ONLY thing misleading is, the 2 pots and shovels that come with it, are tiny! Super tiny! HAHA! But, that is HARDLY a reason NOT to get this! My son loves it, so do I! (Also, we've had some pretty heavy rain storms and it's held up extremely well..)
My just turned 2 yr old son loves this sand box, we're able to move it when needed, (which is a bonus since we're landscaping our back yard), and he really loves the umbrella. He plays with his sand trucks on the table, and crashes them into the sand.
This is a very nice sandbox, with the added bonus of a picnic table. It looks nice on our patio - not bright, very subtle colors, etc. My 2-year-old daughter likes the sandbox but is still learning to keep the sand in the box, so sand is on the table, etc. She loves eating at the table and the umbrella provides some nice shade. I would recommend!
Our three year-old son was given this sandbox as a birthday present and loves it. It was easy to put together and looks just like the image on the computer. The only thing we were surprised about was that there isn't a way to secure the box lid to the box. The lid isn't very sturdy so if there is a good wind the lid will slide off. We are using two bricks to keep it secure when we aren't using it. Otherwise, we love it!
Daughter could not wait to play in the sandbox. She refused to eat breakfast so she could go outside. The ledges provide an easy place to sit and the cover keeps the sand clean when not in use. The tools that come with the sandbox are very small so plan on purchasing additional toys for playing in sand. FYI, we used 4 bags of play sand to fill the box and we needed a truck to transport the item. (you may get it in a car if you take the box apart)
We actually bought and returned two other sandboxes at Costco then Target. This one is fantastically better for around the same price. It looks like the company uses some of the same plastic components on other toys and that must help keep prices down because this is a whole other (better) level of quality. Assembly took about 5 minutes with a power driver. Each piece is light enough I was able to haul the whole thing up a hill in a few minutes, and it looks great. The fact it can hold water is just a bonus.
This sand box is great! I put it together myself in a few minutes. My daughter (2 years old) loves it. The price is great for the product, however, the shipping was just as much as the price of the product (that was a little disappointing). Here are a few things to note: 1. The shovels & pots that come with it are very tiny. Just buy a plastic beach set (from Walmart of course!). 2. The umbrella blows away with just the right gust of wind. When you are done playing just remember to take the umbrella down (or you may be searching your neighbors yard for the fly away umbrella). 3. The sand cover is pretty flimsy. Don't allow your child to sit/stand on it. It will cave in. But it keeps the rain, bugs, etc out! 4. The product says that it can hold 300 lbs of sand. We only put in 150 lbs and it was plenty for our 2 year old. The list above are all very minor. Overall the product is great and I am glad that I bought it. It looks good in my backyard, too!
We recently purchased this sandbox for our 2 year old daughter. It's the perfect size for her and her toys. She can easily climb in and out of it by herself. The table is just the right height for her. The umbrella provides ample shade. I was disappointed with the flimsy lid to the sandbox. While it covers the sandbox, it is very lightweight, there is no way to secure the lid to prevent it from blowing away. We have to weight it down when we close it up for the night. Our little girl absolutely loves it. Overall I think it is a good buy.
