Worked great for about a year
Excellent product works great in my back yard. order on-line received product sooner than expected. I would recommend ordering from walmart.com.
I think the black light works a lot better then just the blue lamp they had in there from the start. big improvement..
I originally bought a combined set of an indoor with a sm. fluorescent bulb with a vacuum and an outdoor using this black light with a zapper and usually replace them once a year as they burn out so buying this was a necessity as there are a lot of gnats where I live and they are a real nuisance and this helps out a lot but I wish they weren't so expensive , seeing as it's such a small bulb.
I waited for over a week to have this item shipped to the store. When I got it home, I took it out of a new package; it otherwise looked new. However, two of the four pins th.at make contact with the zapper had some glue-like substance coating them. One of the pins was loose. I need the bulb for vector control, so I attempted to scrape off the hard glue gently with a file. I was able to file it off. I inserted it into the zapper and was able to get contact so the bulb works. I am guessing that this bulb is glued together somehow, and not by machine. I am willing to give this 90 days and hopefully it will last as long as the other one did, which was operated continuously for over a year. However, I'll probably buy another one as an immediate backup. This bulb should have failed a quality check. There was a "Unit label" on it, which has a date of 9/15/16 on it, and a code that seems like someone's name; AVAZQU4. Bar code on the label reads 48103051739220. Buy this in a store so you can check the quality.
I ordered this online and the store tried to pawn a black light tube off on me. Then gave me an attitude when I pointed out it wasn't the thing I ordered
