We have the exact piece for our 18 month now except it costed a lot more from another store (luckily the grandparents bought it for us as gift before). With our 2nd baby we decided to get the same one since we were so happy with it and got it for a great price from WalMart. Dresser/changing table looks great and is sturdy and durable. I love that I can just remove the changing pad later and it looks like a classy dresser; no one would know it was a changing table previously. Looks great with the matching hutch as well. There is always a knick or scratch here and there though. If it's on a piece that would not be visible after installation, we don't worry about it. If yes as in the case with our 1st one, we contacted Storkcraft directly and they automatically shipped us a new piece at no cost; we didn't even have to ship the defective piece back.
I love this dresser and wish I had purchased it sooner. My father in law put it together in a couple of hours and had no problems with the directions. The storage in the tower holds ALOT of diapers and wipes and much more. I would recommend this product to anyone.
I am so far very pleased with this product. It of course seemed like it had 100 pieces and would take hours, but well worth it. I think the longer it takes to make something the stonger it is. The side cabinet has two very convient shelves, and of course the 3 drawers are an obvious convience. The color is beautiful as well. It really adds personality to the little guys room.
My husband put this together over the weekend. It has some flimsy parts to it, but the core unit is solid. There was some damage to one piece of the unit however that part faced the wall so there were no real issues there. The only annoying thing was the screws that you use to put it together. They are a bit weak and either broke off at the head or did not grasp the other end that they were screwing in to. We had to contact Storkcraft to have them send replacement screws. Other than that it is a pretty unit and should work fine.
I really like the changing table, the quality is good and the color is better than the picture. The backboard did not line up like it was suppose to after a little work it fit just fine.
I had been looking for a piece of furniture for my son's nursery that would work as a dresser and changer to take up less space. This was perfect with the option to purchase the hutch for the top of it. It looks really sharp and was easy to assemble. It took about and hour and a half and I only had to have my husband help hold a few pieces while I tightened them up. Directions were pretty easy to understand as well.
I haven't assembled my dresser yet because when I opened up the box I had a surprise waiting for me. There were Natural finish pieces in my Cognac box. I called Storkcraft and they told me that any pieces that aren't going to be showing are manufactured in only white and natural so if you don't order those colors be ready to have two different colors for your pieces of furniture.
The wood is so gentle, when you put it together anything you do wrong will show. Easily knicked. It is very roomy though and looks really nice.
Overall, I am pleased with this product - took about 2 hours to assemble (my husband is very handy though) - I was a little surprised by all the pressed board pieces though, thought there would be more real wood pieces - seems very sturdy and is quite heavy - all the doors and pieces fit perfectly and looks very good - It was exactly what I had been looking for - I am a bit worried about the drawers holding up for the long haul...
The dresser requires assembly which is mentioned in the item description. The instructions were fairly simple but the hardware provided did not fit properly at each junction. Pieces of hardware come loose very easily and I am now afraid to move the piece of furniture for fear that it will fall apart.
