Good quality product. Directions fairly easy to follow. The mattress has to be raised of lowered by moving screws in a tight area, but other than that, love the crib.

EXCELLENT CRIB!!

This crib is unbelievably sturdy! We like it so much we will be purchasing an additional one for our new baby due in May. Yes, it came with some wrong hardware, but they immediately sent the correct set. We bought this crib after having a drop-rail crib give out, so we were looking for something very sturdy, safe, and secure. We researched this company and found only good things. The crib is beautiful too--I can't wait to have two of them in the boys' shared nursery! I was worried about bending over to lay my son down (back problems) but it turned out fine (as an infant and now a toddler) because the crib is built low to the ground. I have never seen a sturdier crib, even at four times the price!

Safety is my #1 concern...

My 20 month old broke her crib, but wasn't ready for a toddler bed. We needed to buy a new crib fast and didn't have a whole lot of money to spend. Did quite a bit of research and decided to go with a stationary crib (she broke the drop down side on her original crib). We did site to store shipping. The package arrived within the given time frame, but the box was damaged. A corner of of one of the sides had a small chunk out of it as a result, but we decided to just put that side against the wall. It took us forever (2 hours) to put it together. We don't normally have any difficulty assembling, but this just wasn't an easy process for us. We assembled it in the evening right before bedtime. When I went in the next morning, she had already scraped the finish with her teeth. She isn't a big chewer at all, and I was in her room literally less than 3 minutes after she woke up. I was pretty irritated, but we were still satisfied with the safety and stability of the crib, which is the sole reason we purchased this particular one. The finish is very easy to scratch. We decided that we will just touch it up for the next child if it bothers us. We like the design and color. Not happy with the scratch/chew factor, but ultimately, we are concerned with the stability, durability and safety, which we are pleased with. She has jumped around and tried to shake the sides like she used to with her old crib, and isn't able to.

Factory Imperfections

Factory parts were not tooled properly and the bed frame did not line up. We called Childcraft and they were helpful with the situation. It was just frustrating that it wasn't all correct to begin with.

Missing a screw/Gash on furniture

After my coworker and I assembled the crib, we could not figure out why the back board did not screw into the side board. Upon further inspection of the backboard she realized that their was a part missing from inside the backboard, which is why we could not connect it to the side board. Several attempts were made to contact the manufacturer and finally someone responded when I called back the following week. I explained the situation above and the piece is suppose to be rush delivered. My coworker also noticed after unwrapping the same backboard with the missing piece that there was a gash in the wood.

Wrong parts

My husband tried to put this crib together, but the parts weren't correct; the main screws that connect the crib together were too big and the tools were too small. We're disappointed that we did not see the end result and ended up returning it.

wrong size hardware sent

I havent used the crib yet...we tried to put it together and realized one of the insert nuts for crib assembly was too large and would never fit in the crib hole provided nor could it be used, as it was supposed to, with the allen wrench provided by the company. We are trying to contact the manufacturer to get replacement hardware quickly. Very disappointing to be sent the wrong sized hardware. I hope to get the replacement hardware because I have heard good things about the reputation of the products offered by this company.
