Although I gave this 5 stars I have had a problem. When I first purchased off of walmart.com I got the package home and unloaded every piece, all perfect condition, except the very last one which was the top of the dresser. The front left corner was cracked and bent upward. So I contacted Storkcraft who sent me a new top, I just received this one on Friday and this time the back right corner is bent and cracked. I have contacted them again and am waiting for a response. I still give the dresser 5 stars because it is beautiful and goes perfectly in my daughters nursery, the drawers glide great and there is plenty of room for storage. I just hope that the third time is the charm for the dresser top.
Looks great! Its a little shorter than expected but since i'm 5'2 it'll be ok. I wouldnt reccomend for anyone taller. At the same time once the baby hits toddler years she can dig through ALL of her own drawers. Very dissapointed with the delivered product I waited a week for it with the site to store shipping. And when it got here 2 of the corners for the top piece were horrible from the horrible shipping (more circular than corners and showed the wood under the finish). I called Storkcraft and it will be 2 weeks before I get a replacement piece.....IF its in stock!!!!! If its not then who knows how long??!!?? They wouldnt express ship it and were not apolegetic at all about the situation. My husband put together what he could of it. He said directions are bad but mostly common sense if you know what your doing.
The dresser is very pretty. The design and color are true to what was advertised. It was easy to assemble but you need another hand. I only gave it four stars because I thought it was pricey for the kind of wood used.
We ordered this dresser to go with the Delta Eclipse Black Cherry Crib set we purchased before realizing they discontinued the dresser. This is a nice match to the Delta Black Cherry finish and Eclipse styling. You can't really tell it isn't part of the same set. We already have the Delta dresser from our first baby and I think the Delta dresser is better quality. But the Storkcraft is adequate. My main concern is that it is pretty short. Instead of coming up to my hip as I would expect, it only comes up to mid thigh (I am 5'6"). The drawers are a little sticky but it's still new, I hope they'll get broken in and be smooth eventually. It did take my husband about 2 1/2 hours to assemble and he's usually pretty quick and capable. Our 2 year old was "helping" so that might have made it harder.
Unable to provide objective feedback, as the item was returned. It was much smaller than I thought and thus unuseful to me. My fault - I did not check the dresser's dimensions.
