The product was shipped on time and arrived in mint condition. The crib was easy to assemble and didnt take long. The crib isnt bulky and doesnt take up alot of space. The extra storage on the bottom is ideal for sheets and blankets. Im satisfied with the purchase and would recommend for those who are in search of a stylish yet sturdy crib. I cant wait to use it as a day/full bed.
Our friend purchased this for us and we got it put together about 2 weeks ago. It is a very beautiful crib and seems very sturdy. We wanted a Storkcraft because that is what our other son has and it has been great. Although we haven't gotten to use this one yet, I'm sure it will be great as is our other one. Very easy to put together. I'm 7 months preggo and it only took me about 1 1/2 hours. The only reason it took that long is I had a little trouble with the drawer. Everything else was very simple(I guess it helped that I had put together a Strokcraft crib before). Although you will need help putting in the bottom(where the mattress sits).
This crib is gorgeous! I put it together myself in one hour with no problems and the assembly directions were very easy to follow. The color is perfect and it arrived with no scratches or dents. My only complaint about it is the under crib drawer. While the crib itself took one hour for me to assemble, the drawer took thirty minutes to put together and it won't hold up! The materials are very cheap, the cam bolts have plastic threads which are supposed to go into plastic nuts and I couldn't get four of them to go in the way they should. The bottom of the drawer will not stay in so I plan to have my husband take it apart and glue and screw it together so it can't fall apart on me.
I received this crib as a gift from my mother in law when I had Noah in 2006. That's right I've had this crib two years and it has held up beautifully. A couple of little teeth marks later and a rowdy 19 moth old jumping around on it and it still stands. The quality is excellant. I got it in conagc color and goes great with primary colors that i used in Noah;s transportation theme nursery. Can't say enought great things about this crib.....
As others had mentioned, you can see directly down into the drawer underneath so a crib skirt is absolutely necessary. We were really impressed with the quality of this crib for the price we paid. We had also purchased a Storkcraft changing table and the finishes match perfectly.
Like all parents I researched, read reviews, shopped, you name it. Drop-side and wheels were a must. Price really wasn't a factor but Storkcraft sells the same stuff at higher price in other stores, is cheapest at WalMart, and free ship at WalMart. The build quality really doesn't get much better in a drop-side for the crib itself... the drawer is built poorly but I could care less and you probably won't use it for any frequent access stuff. Appearence... I think it looks good. If you don't then just pick a different Storkcraft. I wouldn't recommend a fixed-side, because you don't want to hunch over that tall side and pick up a heavy kid. The drop-side on this lowers to waist high for me (5'10") so I bend right over really easy. Packing was great, there was no damage. The slide action is one of the easier and quiter ones, and single-handed. I have no regrets on the purchase. Three tips: One - Bring a pickup when you pick it up. It's a very wide and flat box that will NOT fit in anything but a minivan, large SUV, or pickup. (Think huge flatscreen TV box.) Two - If you're a single mom or something and can't haul it into your house open up the box outside and tote the pieces in separately to save your back the strain. Three - The last non-obvious thing I will pass along from another review that I read - build it in the room you plan to use it. No crib that isn't collapsible will fit through a standard inside doorway. (If you need something that can go in multiple rooms look at one of the Graco pack & plays... they're the gold standard for portables and come as cheap as $60 bucks. A lot of parents use those and never even buy a "hard" crib.) Good luck.
I was surprised for the outcome of the crib. Easy to assemble with very few tools needed. Surprisingly sturdy and well crafted for the price of the crib. The cherry oak color matched perfectly with the 5 drawer dresser that I also bought at Wal Mart. No scratches or dents were visible. It was convinient to deliver from "site to store" option and took about 2 wks for delivery. I am rating it a 4 out of 5 stars because we still waiting for our baby to put it to the test.
I have used this crib for about 4 1/2 months now and have been very happy with it. My favorite feature is the storage drawer which is great for storing extra sheets for the crib and clothes my son has outgrown. This crib looks great and was easy to put together. I haven't had to use the drop down side too often yet as we still have the mattress at the highest position but it seems relatively easy to move the side up and down.
The crib is beautiful and wasn't hard to put together for my husband. Haven't used it yet, but the drawer is very convienent and the wheels are nice to have to move when needed. I would air out before putting a kid in it because it has a "chemical" smell to the wood, probably the sealant.
It is a nice crib. I like the color. I find the drawer very useful. It was bigger than I expected it to be. Not very hard to install, but the instructions are not very good. My husband did it, but he needed my help just a little bit to hold things together. It had a few small scratches, but I didn't want to return it just for that. I also bought the beatrice combo unit and a glider to match. They look great in my baby room.
