I did alot of shopping around online while I was pregnant. I fell in love with this crib. I looked at sears and target and walmart had the cheapest price! I got it home and it was beautiful. It's very sturdy and easy to assemble. The drawer is a little difficult to put together but we managed. If I had to complain the only thing is the color, which I love, but it's not what I picked out. When I got it out of the box I was shocked, I thought they sent me the wrong crib. The picture is deceiving, the crib is actually red oak. I also bought the matching changing table. Best two purchases! Great buy for not alot of money! I recommend this crib for everyone.
THIS CRIB IS ABSOULUTLY BEAUTIFUL. EASY TO PUT TOGETHER, VERY STURDY, LOOKS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN IT IS.
I am a new Grandma and wanted to buy a new baby bed that I could use for all my Grandchildren and then be able to use as a full sized bed when we no longer needed a crib. I was very pleased with the quality of this bed. It was fairly easy to assemble and seems to be sturdy and well made.
I was very impressed with the crib. I wanted it to be darker than the picture shown on the internet, and trusted others reviews in that it is darker. They were right, and I got just what I wanted. I think the color is more of the cognac picture on the site. The drawer is nice for crib sheets, or other lightweight objects. Very sturdy and looks great!
I was nervous after reading some of the negative reviews but still went ahead and ordered this crib because it looked nice and was in our price range. We are so happy we decided to do so. The crib is absolutely perfect, came with evey piece. It took my husband about an hour and fifteen minutes to assemble. The end result is a beautiful crib that I feel great putting our little one in when he arrives!
I did a lot of shopping around for our first crib. Wal Mart consistently had the best price on this crib. We had it put together in about an hour and a half. The color is perfect, and the crib seems very sturdy. I used site to store which saved on shipping. This must be a very popular crib, because it was unavailable at times online. When it did become available again, site to store was not an option. I waited a week, and site to store was available again. The savings on shipping costs was well worth the wait. We also purchased the 5drawer dresser from the storkcraft aspen line and the finishes match perfectly. This was also a money saver because it has a changer built in. Much harder to assemble; however the finished product is worth the frustration.
I purchased the crib, 5 drawer dresser, and changing table. Many pieces in the back are particle board, but the pieces that show look nice. I think it was a great value for the money; however, if you are a family that moves a lot, I would try and invest in something more sturdy. My husband dropped a 40 lb dumbbell into the crib and it held up just fine. In person, the oak color is the true medium shade I was expecting. Depending on which website you look at, it sometimes looks a lot lighter. Overall I am very happy with it and would purchase it again, but I am also not planning on using it for 10 years or moving several times.
This is a sturdy bed overall, but I find the wood knicks a little easier than I thought it would. The bolts are large and show quite a bit, so it is not as pretty as it could be. The side rail drops and raises very easy with only your foot and one hand, which is nice when you have the baby in your arms. The back rail was too big to put a mobile on, but I guess the drop rail would work if you really had your heart set on having one. Also, I wouldn't put anything heavy in the drawer as the bottom is made of a presswood/cardboard like material and breaks easy.
Ordering: Ordered online and it was easy - did Site to Store. Will use that option again to save on shipping. Product: Setup was pretty straight forward. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Pieces fit together well. Directions are actually put on the crib (on the bottom of the mattress support out of site) which was nice - so I don't have to worry about losing. We were concerned about color matching what we saw online - but color matched well so we were pleased with the fact that the crib matched the online photos. We haven't used the crib yet but we look forward to using it and hope it holds up. It's probably doesn't compare to the $400-500 cribs but is still very acceptable, especially for the price. For the price I think the crib is of good quality. We are happy with it. It looks good setup and doesn't look cheap.
This crib is beautiful, easy to put together, and a really great product for the price. The drawer is a pretty shallow but good for extra bedding and stuff like that. My husband wishes that the hardware wasn't visible once it's put together, like the screws and stuff are visible. A small thing overall in my opinion. I'm so pleased with the appearance and quality of this crib. It's sturdy but really pretty light-weight. Took my husband and I about an hour and a half to put together.
